I looked at the sign, the sign that looked worn out, but still standing and readable. If you'd never been here before you'd say this place looks like the entrance to your doom. I guess in some way, they're sort of right...
I keep driving towards my cousins house. I don't know if I'm going the right way, but I hope I am, everything sort of just looks the same as of now. A huge forest with healthy looking trees, and indeed their very tall. I'll climb one later when the full moon gets closer, the sky looks lovely around that time.
My radio starts acting up, so I put my CD inside instead. It starts playing all of the remix's I downloaded a couple months ago, and of course Seven Devils starts playing. As I drive, I bob my head up and down to the beat. Its become some sort of a habit. Not like all my other habits, this one was actually a good one in my life.
As I'm driving I see many thing in the forest, I believe most of them are my eyes playing tricks on me, so I don't pay to much attention to them. I take a left on the next entrance and that's when I see most of the houses. I automatically see my aunt Melissa's house, looking the same as every. I also see a blue jeep that I haven't seen in a while. Hopefully they're happy to see me. It's been two years since I randomly left.
I park my car in the driveway and walk to the door. I knock, and wait patiently, looking around for any changes. Everything seems normal for now. I hear the door open and a gasp. Next thing I know I'm in the arms of someone with soft black curly hair. Aunt Melissa.
"Cleo, we've missed you dearly! How's everything? Is there a problem? Oh you must be tired, come in!" She says.
"Hi Melissa, I'm fine really. Where's Scott and Stiles? I swear I just saw Stiles jeep outside. Looking as beautiful as the day he bought it" I said, ending my sentence with more of a sarcastic tone.
Aunt Melissa and I, laughed about what I had said last, completely agreeing with me. The first time Stiles bought the jeep, aunt Melissa hated it, she thought it was so unsafe and would probably stop working after a week because of how old it was. She spoke after our laughter quieted down.
"Oh they're right-" she was about to tell me, but she didn't get to finish because two boys come running down the stairs.
"CLEO!" Stiles and Scott shout simultaneously.
They approach me quickly and hug me, muttering quick 'we missed you's' and then let go of me.
"Mama McCall, if you'll excuse us, I have something very important to tell Scott and Stiles" I tell her.
She simply nods and then walks back towards the kitchen, where I'm pretty sure she was making lunch for the boys and herself.
"Upstairs" is all I say, and start walking. Hearing the boys footsteps behind me, I know they're following.
I hear a curse, and following that a crash. I turn around quickly, only to find something, more like someone's, on the bottom of the stairs, with Stiles laying on top of Scott. Scott groans in pain but Stiles is simply lying there in Shock until he says a quick 'thanks for letting me land on you' then laughing and running past me towards the stairs.
I help Scott up and he mutters some unpleasant words directed towards Stiles under his breath. I laugh silently after, and start up the stairs again, while shaking my head.
Oh this is gonna be one hell of a year, I thought.
Boy was I right.
