I know a fair majority of you simply skip the author's note, but I hope you realize this is where all the personal information about this fanfic is, all the facts, which I apparently really need to reiterate.
Fact 1: Two weeks, guys. It usually takes only two weeks for me to update, and I post a status immediately if I know there will be a delay. And if you don't know when the last update was, just hover over over the gray line under the fanfic cover and it'll show you when the chapter was posted.
Fact 2: As much as I love this fanfic (trust me, I really do. I mean, why else would I be writing it?), it is not my top priority. I have a lot of school and family stuff to take care of.
Many of you have been very respectful when I am late or of my schedule which I got many cheers for. But those of you that don't like the schedule, you have to realize that this isn't a published book, I don't have all the chapters up and ready as soon as you want to read them. I know I don't update as quickly as you may want, but for one, I update a lot faster than many others. Another thing, I have a life, I am busy, I can't spend all my time writing. I do write in almost all my free time, though. A third thing, I don't always have inspiration to write, so I will not force myself to write because I don't want it to be crap. You guys don't deserve to wait two weeks for a bad chapter.
To summarize this long author's note, I just want you all to be patient with the chapter updates. Every two weeks is when I update, and that's not going to change. I won't apologize for taking a full fourteen days to update a chapter because it is a system that works for me. If you want me to do a system that you would prefer, it would involve short, shitty chapters and an overwhelmed author that can't wait for the fanfic to finish.
I'm sorry for the long author's note, but this is how I feel and I hope that you will all respect it.
Enjoy(:

Chapter 12
~
"Ready to hit the road?" I hear Harry's voice call as I throw my duffel bag into the trunk of Harry's van. I look over at Harry as he strides toward me, black suitcase in tow, with his wild curls tucked under a gray beanie, a radiant smile shining on his face, denting his cheeks with his signature dimples.
I glance at my watch then meet eyes with Harry's again as he reaches the van. "You're eleven minutes late, Styles."
Harry rolls his green eyes, that wide grin never leaving his lips. He messes with my hair as he continues past me to throw his suitcase into the van. "Shut it, you. I'm here now, aren't I?" He closes the trunk and waves me off when I try to hand him back his keys. "We're going to your house, mate, I don't know where you live." He proceeds to the passenger side door and climbs in, but not before stumbling over a small rock that got in his path.
I smile fondly at the boy then drop my gaze to the ring of five keys resting on my palm. I turn it over a few times, knowing everything's going to change. Very soon.
"Are you coming or not?" Harry shouts, leaning out the window with that spectacular grin still plastered onto his face. I feel a pang in my chest, knowing that I'm going to be taking that smile away from him.
Rolling my eyes at his impatience, I hop into the van and start it up, looking over at Harry who's practically bouncing in his seat, wearing an expression of a child going to Disneyland for the first time. As we drive along, Harry seems to become even more excited with each kilometer, staring out the window as if he'll see a house that just screams, "Louis' house!" at him. His knee bounces rhythmically to the beat of the indie song on the stereo. His fingers tap on his knees in time to the guitar strumming and I wonder if Harry is even aware of what he's doing.
