I wake up to an amazing aroma that filled the cabin. I roll onto my side and check my phone, nothing but an email and 3 Instagram notifications. I hear footsteps hurdling near my door, as if someone was running.

"Alice!! Breakfast is ready!!" She skips in place. I throw the covers to the left side of the bed, onto my pile of dirty clothes. She flags me towards the door and links her arm to mine.

The kitchen was not very big, but it was big enough for the 4 of us. Gram and Gramps weren't very into the whole camping situation, they kind of didn't have a choice but to come with us. They lived with us, in the basement. They were older and had a harder time with paying for a house, so my mom offered to let them live with us.

"Good morning hunny." Grams kisses the top of my head lightly with her slightly wrinkly lips. Gramps pulls me in and gives me a firm hug, shaking a bit more than usual.

I start to dig into my eggs, then a knock at the door. My mom snaps her head around and nods at me, saying 'go open the door'. The floor creaks for what seems forever until I finally make it to the door. I open it slightly and then someone pushes it open farther, Michael.

"Mrs. Kay, Alice and I are going to take a walk. I will take good care of her." He winks towards my mom and she nods. He grabs my hand and slams the cabin door, then starts walking faster, dragging me behind him. I had no clue where he was taking me, nor why it was so important.

"Michael." I grunt. He turns his head, still walking fast, and gives a shy smile. "Where are we going? Slow down." I release his grip on my hand and cross my arms.

"Ali, just come with me. Please." He pouted his bottom lip out, trying to make me feel bad so that I would go. He starts getting closer and then I swept off my feet. Before I know it, Michael is now carrying me to this unknown place.

"Michael! Put me down!" I laughed. Michael spins in a circle quickly, almost loosing his balance due to a stone in the middle of the path. "You do understand that I am still in my pajamas, correct? This better not be in a public place." I stated.

"Fucking calm down. I do have to agree, you look like a piece of shit." He gives off a big laugh, like usual.

Michael is a very confusing person. He can either be super friendly and always wanting your full attention, so he doesn't feel like you're ignoring him, or he can be sort of a douche. At least it was the funnier kind of douche rather than just being one straight up. He's been like this for as long as I can remember, we used to fight all of the time because of it.

"Oh, haha. You're so funny." I said, hoping he'd realize the sarcasm in my voice. He rolled his eyes at me and set me back down.

"Look." He walked up a little ahead of me. I gasped in amazement at the sight. Michael did a little 8 year old girls, giggle.

"Michael, this-this is amazing." He walks around behind me and sets his chin on top of my head. I, still standing and taking in the view, let him.

We sat there for what felt like hours, not speaking a word. Michael's chest moved in and out against my back, spreading chills throughout my whole body. His breathing became softer, making little fog clouds from it being so cold out. I did have to admit, it was a great feeling to have Michael there with me.

"Imagine waking up to this everyday..I'm jealous of whoever does." He sighs, taking my hands and intersecting them with his. I turn around and burrow my head into his hoodie, which smelled great.

"Are you cold?" He takes off his hoodie and puts it in front of me, cocking his head to the side.

"Actually, I kind of am." I smile while taking the hoodie out of his hands. I throw it on over my Nirvana pajama shirt, which was also Michael's, and am instantly warm. Michael pulls me in for a big bear hug, he was cold and I knew it.
