Another unedited and pretty short chapter.

That night she was sitting up in her bed, swaying body slightly to the music playing quietly in the background. All she wanted to do was blast some Bring Me The Horizon and punch something, but she knew she needed to calm herself down before she did something stupid. So, she played a soft song instead, which was indeed helping. When she was yelling at Chase earlier in the day all she wanted to do was punch him and kick him until his heart stopped beating, maybe even strangle him so she could feel that last breath leave his body. She didn't know what came over her, most people joke about wanting to "kill" their best friend and what not, but this anger, this blood lust, it was all too real for her. She had to admit, she scared herself, she knew that death and murder were not subjects that should be taken lightly, so she couldn't understand how she could've thought that. She pictured the situation so vividly, she was going to ask to speak with him in private, then kick him in the balls and stadle him then proceed to pund his face over and over with her fists, then, when she knew he couldn't fght back, wrap her hands around his throat and squeeze as hard as she could, hearing him splutter and cough and beg for forgiveness, but she wouldn't stop until she was certain there was no turning back.
A shiver ran down her spine as she thought about it now, she has been acting out of character quite a lot lately and had no idea why and wasn't going to bother to try and figure out why. She'd been feeling really tired as well lately and just narrowed that down to all the exhausting changes going on in her life at the moment. She hadn't had dinner yet which didn't bother her, all she wanted to do right now was sleep, so that's what she did.

Friday, one of the hardest school days to get through next to Monday. All day the only thoughts running through your mind is, I'm almost free. That's how Maggie felt right now sitting through her last class before lunch. She had made plans to leave scchool at lunch, she knew that her teachers were very suspicious of her bad excuses for not being in class but none of them have yet bothered with taking it any further than raised eyebrows. She watched the clock tick and scribbled lines in her book, five minutes, only five short minutes. The teachers monotone voice was droning on and Maggie was almost certain that everybody in the class had stopped listening as soon as he started talking. Her leg was now bouncing up and down with impatience as she imagined leaving this shit hole, her pen was tapping her book now rather than drawing pointless lines in it. Three minutes. She heard some shuffling and moving around her as other eager to leave students began packing their books up, Maggie decided to do the same. One minute. Her bag was now slung over her shoulder, this was the most excited she'd been about anything in a while. Then the bell went and she practically ran out of the class, she was first in the corridor and was going to take that opportunity to get out of the building as fast as she could without bumping into anyone. She exited the door that leads out onto the field and started to make her way to the same gate she left out of the other day. She was getting quite close to the gate when she heard a familiar voice come from behind her.
"Maggie, wait up! Where are you going?" It was Cole.
She almost got annoyed at him for stopping her but didn't say anything, he didn't know she was leaving so that's why he asked.
"I'm out of here" She replied.
Cole looked at the ground, fiddled with his fingers for a short moment then looked back at her, hesitating before he spoke "Can I come?"
Maggie was surprised to say the least, sweet little Cole wanted skip class, she didn't want to say no but she didn't want to say yes either. If she were to say no she knew for sure that she'd hurt his feelings but if she said yes then he'd probabl get in trouble and the last thing Maggie wanted to do was lead him astray by allowing him to do things like this.
"Are you sure you really want to come?" She asked.
He nodded his head "I don't really like it here, and you're the only person that likes me"
Maggie's face softened "I'm sure that's not true Cole, you've only been here for three days, you just need time to settle in and meet new people, but sure, if you really want to come you can, you might get into trouble though"
Cole grinned at her "I don't mind, thank you so much Maggie" He exclaimed before throwing his arms around her.
And rather than the first time he did this where she hadn't wrapped her arms around him, she did it, she put her arms around his waist and hugged him tightly, his happiness rubbing off on her.

Cole's carefree attitude seemedd to diappear after a few minutes of being out of school "My parents will kill me if they find out"
Maggie laughed slightly "It's still lunch, you could always go back if you want to"
"No, I'm okay, I'm sure we won't get caught anyway. Oh but if we do get caught, please come to my funeral"
She playfully slapped him on the arm "You're overreacting Cole, I mean yea if we do get caught the worst that will happen is we'll get put on report and your parents will be disappointed"
Cole let out a shakey breath and nodded his head "Yea, okay then, where are we going?"
"Well, my cousins house is like a fifteen minute walk away, I asked her to get me some drinks yesterday and a packet of smokes, she said she has them"
Cole was silent for a bit after that, unsure off what to say then he askedd Maggie a question "Why do you do that?"
"Do what?"
"Drink and smoke"
Maggie was caught off gaurd by the question and didn't know how to answer it for him, she didn't necessarily want to say the actual reason, that she needs it to numb the pain of reality, but there was no other way to answer it really, if she were to say it was for recreational purposes that would be lying to him and he ended up finding out the truth anyway, so she told him the honest answer "Um, life hasn't been to kind to me and well, the drinking makes me forget and smoking calms me"
Cole seemed to be full of unexpected replies "Why are you so sad?"
"I don't see the world like you Cole, I see all the dark aspects, all the bad things and focus on those, whereas you see life as something amazing and you smile about everything, you wouldn't understand"
He nodded "I do understand, you try to hide away and make yourself invisible" Cole began to think about his first thoughts on Maggie "You stand out more than you think you know"
Maggie laughed without humour "I wouldn't be too sure about that, nobody notices me, nobody talks to me"
"It's not because they don't notice you" Cole said quietly "It's because you're different and everybody is scared of change"
"There you go again" Maggie smiles at him "Seeing only the good things, trust me, it's not like that"
Then Cole smiled at her "There you go again, seeing only the bad things"
They looked into each others eyes, they were so different. They were the epitomy of opposites towards each other. But you know what they say.
Opposites attract.
