Cole and Maggie sat on some swings, neither saying a word. Holding a bottle of whiskey in one hand and a cigarette in the other, Maggie turned to Cole and studied his features. His light brown hair, blue eyes, cute nose. She couldn't help but think that he was rather handsome in a cute way and when he smiled it made her want to smile as well. She took a long drag from her smoke and looked away once again. She lifted the bottle of whiskey to her lips and drank some.

"Can I try some?" Cole asked quietly.

Maggie chuckled "You wouldn't be able to handle this"

"Please, I've never tried alcohol before"

She took a sip "Exactly, this will be way to strong for you"

She met his pleading face and rolled her eyes, handing him the bottle. Maggie watched him as he slowly lifted the bottle to his lips and tipped it back, she smiled amusedly as she saw Cole scrunch his face up at the taste.

"Ugh, thats disgusting!" He exclaimed.

Maggie chuckled again "You get used to it after a while"

She took another long drink and began felling the effects of the harsh alcohol, she was definitely feeling dizzy now. Maggie took inhaled the last part of her cigarette and dropped the butt on the ground, spamping it out with her foot. She stood up to fast and stumbled forward slightly before regaining balance.

Cole rushed to her side "Are you alright?" He asked, concern clear on his face.

"Yea" She smiled at him "Don't worry I'm fine, where should we go now?"

Cole pulled his phone out of his pocket and checked the time "Schools over, why don't you come over to my house, just um hide that in your bag yea?"

Go to his house? Maggie wasn't to sure about that, she wasn't the kind of girl you take home to introduce to your parents, even if she wasn't his girlfriend. The way she dresses probably wouldn't help with how others see her as well, regardless on whether or not all their judgements were true.

"That's probably not a good idea" Maggie admitted.

"Oh come on, why not?"

"Look at me Cole, do I really look like someone you should be hanging out with?" Maggie sighed.

Cole looked her up and down then shook his head "No you don't, but that doesn't matter, you're my friend Mags and what my parents think of you doesn't matter" Mags? That's different.

She took a sip of the whiskey and nodded before shoving it in her bag and following Cole to his house. Then texted her mum saying she will be at a friends for a while.

Butterflies were going crazy in Maggie's stomach as they got closer to Cole's home.

"We're here" He stated, gesturing to a smallish cozy looking house.

The walked up to the front door where Cole opened it up and yelled "I'm home, I brought a friend"

Almost in an isntant both Cole's parents appeared in front of them, their excited expresions faulting when they laid eyes on Maggie "Oh honey, who's this?" Cole's mother asked.

"This is Maggie, Maggie this is Kate and Stewert" He introduced everybody and then said "Okay, great, now you've met, we'll be in my room"

Then he took Maggie's hand and sped off down the hallway "Door open!" They heard his father shout before they entered his room, Maggie dropped her bag on the ground, Cole closed his door.
