Set It Off

~Towards the end of the party~

Mal's POV 

We watched the fireworks go off for hours as we continued to dance the night away. I was with Ben the majority of the time as we danced even when we danced with Evie, Jay and Carlos. I told him I was going to talk to Evie he nodded and headed over to talk to Chad. Evie looked at me nervously, I asked "What's wrong E?" She said "I think i really like Doug, like enough to really like him you know." All I could say was "Wow Evie that's great for you why don't you go talk to him some more I mean you never know he could like you back, just go and make the first move." She sighed deeply and responded with "Wow Mal I never thought you'd be giving me advice on how to talk to a guy Ben has definitely changed you." she winked then and ran off to Doug. I thought to myself maybe I should let Ben in I mean nobody else really knows anything about me other than Evie, Jay and Carlos and since Ben is now my boyfriend maybe its ok for him to know more than my standard exterior.

I glanced over the courtyard seeing Carlos and Jane playing with Dude and talking playfully. While Jay and Audrey were hitting it off pretty good I think, I mean now that me and Audrey are sorta friends I guess I'm happy for her. As I spotted Evie and Doug chatting by the punch bowl I felt someones arms wrap around my waist and hug me. I knew it was Ben and lifted my head back towards him smiling so brightly I couldn't even believe it myself. He smirked at me, turned me towards him and whispered "Lets get out of here." I nodded as I had seen most people had already left so nobody would even notice we were gone. 

He led me up the stairs to the very top of his tower where his room was located. He opened the door and led me inside. His room was pretty fancy from the blue and gold drapes to the neatly made bed spread laying across his bed. He watched vividly as I wandered around his room and examined it. That is until I came up to his window. It had a perfect view of the Isle of the Lost. I watched as the barrier glitched and reflected against the moonlight shining down onto it. Ben came towards me and saw where I was staring. He came up behind me, rubbed my shoulders up and down and said calmingly "Don't worry everything has been repaired as in the barrier is back and no one else has escaped from the Isle and no one ever will." I turned myself towards him looked him in the eyes and asked "How many times did you see this everyday?" He shrugged "Everyday practically." I asked "What did you think about was over there?" In response he said "Troubled kids who just didn't have the right direction given to them." I smiled slightly and glanced back over my shoulder at it. Staring for only a second Ben rotated my head back towards him and said sweetly "Just look right in my eyes and don't worry." I inched closer to his face, held my breath as we continued to get closer to each other until there was no more room and we kissed. It was so full of passion and hope. Hope that I could try and have some kind of future with Ben and in Auradon. 

We kissed for a little while longer when we finally decided to move over to his bed. Sitting down and in no time we were locking lips. Something about kissing Ben was something I had never felt before. Maybe given the fact that I've never had a boyfriend and or kissed anyone before. But it was something more than that I just couldn't put my finger on it. His hands started roaming my waist and moved down towards my legs. I moaned slightly and slowed down my kissing. Nobody had ever done that to me before. Ben stopped kissing my and looked worried. He immediately said "I'm sorry Mal I didn't mean to got that far, I won't..." I interrupted  him saying "Ben it's fine, what else can you do?" Ben looked puzzled and questioned me "What do you mean?" "Mal have you ever had a boyfriend before?" I shook my head no. I fell back onto his bed and sighed. He laid next to me and asked "Wanna know what all the bases mean?" Looking puzzled but curious I nodded yes.
