she brought the cigarette to her lips, letting the poison seep into her lungs. she loved the way it felt going down her throat; bitter and biting. the addiction came to life because of him. a heavy sighed breached her lips as the memory came crawling back into her mind.

"what are you doing?" she asked, looking at him with a gross expression.

"smoking," he answered as he brought one to his lips. "want one?"

"what?" she asked again as she scrunched up her nose. "no fucking way."

"come on, don't be like that, babe." he said, smirking. he took the cigarette out of his mouth and offered it to her, inching his body closer to her 'till their toes were almost touching. he looked at her with his pretty eyes and whispered with a breathy voice, "just this once, yeah?"

she let out a laugh. "just this once" turned into every time they were together, and now every time she was alone. she laughed again. that memory happened the same day she realized she was in love with him.
