*Saturday evening*
I'm sitting on the steps to the door of my house, waiting for Jack to pick me up for our romantic date, at least that's what he promised. Somehow I still don't really believe he's the type of guy who takes his girlfriends out for romantic dates but we'll see how this one goes I guess.
I yawn and don't bother to cover my mouth with my hands, most of my neighbours hate me anyway and I don't care whether they think I have bad manners which I actually don't. I know that yawning at this time isn't something you do on a daily basis but Kaitlyn decided to stay yesterday evening and she kept me up the whole night, asking questions about Jack and fangirling over the gig next week. One part of me is sort of angry at her because she'll be the reason that made me fall asleep at my date but the other part is really happy that she helped me with my hair, clothes and everything for tonight.
The blue hair dye faded away almost completely and Kaitlyn thought it would be a good idea to replace it with red. And she was definitely right, the brown from my natural hair colour goes way better with red than blue. She was so enthusiastic about the red after seeing how well it turned out on me ("Oh my god, your hair looks PERFECT. I should help you with dying it more often"), she even made me dye a streak of her hair so "we can look like twins or something". Her words, not mine.
Later she helped me choosing an outfit for tonight and again I wasn't disappointed. She found a red dress in my wardrobe which I don't remember buying at all and convinced me to combine it with my black (fake) leather jacket, while my make-up is only consisting of eyeliner so no change here. The only thing she had no influence on were my shoes, she knows that I'll never wear anything else than my Converse, no matter what happens. But all in all I have to admit that she did an amazing job as my styling advisor.
I spot some bright lights from a car in the corners of my eyes and look around to see Jack driving up to me with a big grin on his face. I chuckle and wave to him, he responds with being all smiles. I get up from the steps and walk to the street where his car slowly stops. I get inside and am greeted by a gentle kiss, way better than my attempt at saying hello I suppose.
After our kiss comes to an end, Jack is the first one to speak. "God, I've missed doing this."
"Yeah, we're quite good at it, aren't we?" I smirk and he nods, trying to hide how badly he needs to grin again.
"You look absolutely stunning by the way" He compliments me and I blush. I really need to get rid of that habit. "I mean you're gorgeous all the time but I had to point it out, I hope you can forgive me."
"Thank you sir, you don't look too bad either" I wink at him. He's wearing a white t-shirt, black jeans and a black leather jacket like me, a simple yet incredibly good-looking outfit for him. Although he's never been closer to being mistaken for a skunk than right now. "So now that we've finished checking out each other, where are we going?"
"It's a surprise!" Is all I get as an answer till we arrive at our destination.
Two hours later we're standing in front of Jack's car again, laughing about the restaurant he invited me to. It was really nice and the meals were amazing but we both knew that we didn't really fit in there with the rich and posh community.
"Have you seen that one guy that was constantly staring at me because of my hair?" I ask my boyfriend but don't expect a serious answer, as he'd already made fun of that guy during the dinner.
"Or the waiters who weren't sure whether we got lost or something!" He adds and imitates them. " 'Erm excuse me but are you aware of where exactly you are right now?' "
"Of course we are, thank you very much... not" I stick my tongue out at Jack aka one of the waiters.
"Miss, I don't think this behaviour is appropriate for a young lady." He raises his eyebrows like the waiters did so many times. "No but really, nevertheless I hope you've a nice evening."
"It was amazing but I don't think I would have survived it without you." I nudge him and smile. "To be honest, I'd take for example burritos over those posh people every day."
I wouldn't have expected this reaction but he simply gives me a peck.
"What was that for?" I giggle and he starts to grin.
"Nothing..." He trails off and looks at me before he decides to pull me a bit closer to him and kiss me again, this time more passionately. Well, I like that nothing.
"Hey, I have an idea!" He suddenly claims while gathering his breath again. "Wait here!"
And with that he runs off, leaving me alone with his car. What the hell was that? I know that he has to return sooner or later but I really want to know what on earth was going on in his mind.
Around 5 minutes later he comes back and carries a plastic bag in one of his hands. I try to see what's in it but unfortunately I'm not able to identify the content. But... there's a kind of familiar smell?
"Please don't tell me your idea was getting burritos at almost 10pm on a Saturday evening" That man is insane. Totally insane. At least that's what other people would say, I am currently being hypnotised by the burrito smell.
"Okay, I won't tell you... I'll just think of it if that's what you want" He takes a look at what's inside the bag. "But if that's really what you want, you won't get one of these absolutely delicious delicacies."
"Stop it, I love burritos more than I love myself" I admit. "Dear Jack, would you be so kind and give me one?" I flutter my eyelashes to signal how badly I want one.
"Nope" He replies, popping the p. He's grinning again.
"That's not fair!" I pout and fold my arms.
"Don't worry, I'll definitely give you one but not here" He goes over to his car. "Get inside, I'll show you where!"
"Why don't you just tell me? That would save you loads of 'Where are we going?'s on the way" I protest, even though I know he won't give in.
"It's a surprise and you won't hear anything else until we're there" He smiles mysteriously.
I sigh. "You like surprises today, don't you?"
But truth is as long as it's Jack who's surprising me, I don't have any problems with it.
