Once I get off the phone with them I open the door to Zacks house and sit next to him as we wait for the ambulance to come.
After 5 minutes of hearing Zack scream and cry the medics finally show up.
They walk into Zacks room and walk over to the bed.
"My names Danny and im going to be taking care of you. I need you to tell me your name" Says the Medic kneeling next to Zacks bed.
"My names Zack" Zack says and doesnt move a muscle.
"I like that name" Danny says trying to calm Zack down.
"Thanks" Zack says, still not moving.
"So your stomach is hurting right?" Danny asks.
"Ya" Zack says.
"Can you lay on your back for me" Danny asks.
"I dont know" Zack says.
"Does it hurt when you move?" Danny asks and puts his medical bag down.
"Ya" Zack says and looks at the bag on the floor. Another medic comes in and knees next to danny.
"Ok we need you to move to your back if we are gonna be able to help you. We can go slowly or quick so that its like ripping of a bandaid" Says Danny.
"Ok" Zack says.
"Not a man of many words huh?" Danny says and laughs. Zack smiles.
"Ok so do you want me to move you quickly or slowly" Danny asks.
"Slowly please" Zack says. Danny touches Zacks arm and He flinches.
"Dont worry. Its going to be ok. Im here to help you. Just calm down and everything will be ok" Danny says. Zack takes a deep breath. Danny puts his hand under Zacks rib cage and Zack screams in pain. Danny and the other Medic slowly move Zack onto his back as he screams.
"Its ok I know it hurts but your going to be ok" Danny says and Zack breaths really heavy. I can see how scared he is.
"I need to cut your shirt off. Is this an important shirt or can I cut it" Danny asks.
"My shirt is button down. You dont have to cut it. But you can if you need to. Please dont hurt me" Zack says and starts to unbutton his shirt. He gets to the fourth button and touches it and winces. He touches it again and screams in pain. He touches it for a third time and quickly unbuttons it while he screams in pain. Danny has already undone all the other buttons except for the one directly on Zacks stomach. Just as he goes to reach for it Zack stops him.
"No, please" Zack says and a tear slips from his eye.
"Its ok. Im gonna cut the button off really quickly. You wont feel a thing. I promise" Danny says and Zack looks at him.
"Dont cry. Your gonna be fine I promise" Danny says and wipes Zacks face.
"Thank you" Zack says in between breaths.
"No problem. Ok im gonna cut your button off. Ready? 3,2,1, Done" Danny says as he cuts the button. Zack pulls his arms out of the sleeves. Another medic comes in with a backboard. 3 medics follow. They all have to lift Zack onto the board.
"Zack, I need you to be strong for me ok" Danny says and looks at Zack.
"I will try" Zack says and covers his face with his hands.
All the medics in the room surround Zacks bed.
"3,2,1" Danny says and all the medics lift Zack. Zack screams in pain until he is placed on the backboard.
"Zack are you familiar with morphine and what it does" Danny asks.
"Yes" Zack says, Still in pain fron being lifted.
"Im going to give you some to stop the pain. When you wake up you will be in the hospital ok?" Danny says.
"Ok. Thank you" Zack says. Danny gives Zack a shot of morphine and Zack stares at the ceiling.
"Ok Zack i want you to count down from 100" Danny says.
"100, 99, 98, 97, 96, nighty fuh" Zack says, falling asleep at 95.
