From my time on Wattpad I have read a lot of romance stories. I've read almost every bad boy story, werewolf story, popular boy story there is and I've also read a few fanfic stories here and there. But, let me tell you that almost all of them have the most unrealistic things in them.
Why don't we start with the fact that somehow the girl always gets into a car crash and ends up in a coma? She just got in a fight with her boyfriend. Coma. Her boyfriend is out of the country. Coma. She did something bad and everyone hates her all of a sudden. Coma. And after she gets in the coma it's like everyone's lives, even the people she hardly knew, are on hold. Every single freaking person ever mentioned in the story, regardless of if they live on the other face of the planet, is there! Like, that does not happen! You know what else doesn't happen? Car crashes every freaking chapter! I swear, in every story death is after the main character. In real life, if you fight with your boyfriend you are going to get home perfectly fine and deal with it like a normal person, you are not going to get in a coma! And then after she wakes up from the coma (which will probably be in the next chapter because people totally recover from comas over the span of one day) suddenly everything that happened before the coma is forgotten. And I'm just here like: what?
Kidnapping. In like every bad boy story there is either a car crash, kidnapping or both. You know why she gets kidnapped? Because, of course, her bad boy boyfriend is the leader of the most dangerous freaking gang ever. If I found out that my boyfriend was a gang leader, I would dump his ass so quick he'd get whiplash. Like, no! Stop! So, all of a sudden, this rival gang kidnaps the girl and no one thinks to call the police! The boyfriend and his gang just decide that they can find her on their own. Yeah, because if I was kidnapped I would totally want my boyfriend to be the only one looking for me, don't bother calling the cops or anything. I'm sure you'll be able to find me on your own.
Am I the only one that is wondering where the parents are throughout the whole freaking book? Like, how does this girl manage to have her boyfriend sneak in through her window every night and have a makeout session without her parents hearing? My mom would be freaking awake and outside my door before I could even get to the window. Also, how is this girl able to just randomly move in with the boy when she's like 15? Where are her parents during this process? Parents in real life won't just randomly let their kid move in with a gang leader!
The relationship goes way too fast. The girl will be just meeting this guy and then all of a sudden they're having a full out makeout session in the bathroom and I'm just sitting there like: what just happened?
