I must of drifted off late in the night.  The sounds of screaming and heavy footsteps awoken me out of a heavy sleep that must of washed over me as soon as my head hit the rock solid pillow, if it could even be called that. The mustyness of the cell made my bones heavy and difficult to move like the tin man. I need some oil. Coughing slightly I sat up with sleep still weighing heavy on me I looked around the small cell that reminded me of hell. Walls the color of blood. The book was jabbing in my tender side and I slowly placed it in my lap rubbing my hand of the gold cover felling a strange surge of power.   Stupidly, I expected my dusty room of the abandoned foster care to welcome me but only stone walls do and a cold draft that seeped up from the floor.

The sound of yelling was loud and sudden.  Almost too loud. I couldn't think. Each time I got close to an actually smart thought it disappeared as fast as it came  due to the lack of quiet. My heart started racing faster and faster like my heart was doing jumping jacks over and over again and things of what could've been happening flashed quickly through my mind. I groped at the thoughts as my fingers, the nails bitten down from years of mistreatment, attempted to claw into the group for a grasp on anything. Death. Being took over. The queen finally died... That would be the day. I've only been here one horrible,  stupid day and I already knew she was a demonic little witch, ironic really. Almost prefer the stepsisters. She could fit the spot of maleficent.Fairy tales are lies... Cinderella is not the sweet little princess people associate her with.  Truth is she's a demonic little beast! A beautiful demonic little beast. Her son can go fall into a  bottomless pit for all I cared. The thought made me giggle like a dork.

The sound of people yelling subsided to talking. The king's voice bellowed over everyone a a deeper sounding airhorn. So much it startled me of my bed onto the cold floor. Quickly I scrambled over the the wall and placed my ear to it in hopes of hearing better, turns out I didn't need it.

"THIS IS MY KINGDOM!"  The king bellowed. His voice held authority but cracked so much I almost started laughing. I felt ashamed because of it, but I could only think of those popping things from the fourth of July as he continues his rant. It was obvious he was scared and I rolled back on the balls of my bare feet and listened.

"Stop your ungrateful acts or ill be forced to sick my dragon on you! I spent 10 years of my life searching for the piece. You will hand it over!" Another man's voice answered the King
His voice was... calming. Like melted chocolate over a honey comb. This voice was unlike anything i've ever heard. I felt a pull towards it.. Odd and What piece?

The sound of a sword being pulled out of ot sheath could be easily heard.Metal against metal rang out and bounced against the cold walls. My heart race picked up quicker, what if he was hurt? I paused. Why did I care

Quickly stumbling over to the door I pressed a weak hand to the thick wooden door. Hot force raced through me as soon as my hand touched. My body grew weak and my knees wanted to buckle.I couldn't give in. I wouldnt. Forcing my legs straight I closed my eyes tightly. Power raced through me quicker and the noise seemed to stop. Everything revolved around me. I had no clue what was going on, but I didn't want it to stop. I felt powerful. I felt strong like I could take over. I felt like a beast that couldn't be tamed. Wouldn't be tamed. My eyes opened unwillingly and I jumped. My hands grew a faint golden glow like fire was racing through the veins in my hands.

" What the hell?" I swear I jumped 50 feet in the air. A tall slim figure stood behind me. Black hair spilled over her shoulders in braids with a baby blue headband and a spot where something was missing hung tightly over her forehead and her dark brown eyes glowed due to the glow emitting from my hands, I quickly tried to cover my hand, taking a step back into the door, grimacing when the wood dug into my back. Thick eyebrow drew to the center of her forehead.  Golden skin covered her body so flawlessly she could of been painted and the aqua blue dress complimented everything so well, even with the the long viable cut down the center of the dress. Blood stained her dress in spools of bright red and rips covered the seams and chestal area. In one hand rested a long  silver sword and the other was pointed directly at my hand. Her mouth hung slightly open.

" H-How?" Each word she said he word slurred like she was drunk or scared out of her mind. Her eyes grew wide in realization and her brown gaze flickered to my bright lime green eyes as I tried to hide them more under my clothes from her view.
"How what? It was a.. lightning bug."  I said mentally patting myself on the back for quick thinking.
Abruptly she gripped my wrist hard and pulled me out the bedroom I never knew opened. Stumbling on the way out my breath hitched and I stopped moving and gasped quite loudly.

Dead bodies littered the once beautifully polished marble floor, poor Hans probably took so much time on that.  Blood was everywhere. Coming from everywhere.
From heads. Arms. Chest. My breathing stopped for a second and I stilled surveying the sight before me and the girl from earlier walked slowly among them with her sword drawn. I couldn't help it. I laughed.
