Kolana'

"Ladies and gentlemen, we have started our descent and are in preparation for landing, please make sure your seat backs and tray tables are in their full upright position. Make sure your seat belt is securely fastened and all carry-on luggage is stowed underneath the seat in front of you or in the overhead bins. Please turn off all electronic devices until we are safely parked at the gate." The speaker on the plane announced.

The flight attendants were currently making it around the cabin , to pick up any remaining cups and glasses. I looked up and checked both boys areas. They were sleep. We would officially be in Atlanta in the next five minutes. In all honesty I may have been more excited than the boys. Things are already getting crazy in Texas. Yes, we've been there for damn near four years.. But it still feels brand new compared to Georgia and Washington.

Oh, how I miss Seattle.

My thoughts were once again interrupted from the loud intercom speaker. Being stubborn; I still unbuckled my seatbelt and grabbed my stuff. Waking the boys to do the same.

"Hey momma James" I said kissing her cheek. As usual , she lovingly but roughly grabbed me... smashing my face. She kissed both of my cheeks and hugged me for a long period of time. It was evident she missed me, just as much as I have missed her ; if not more.

"Oh my, hi baby. I thought you were flying in tomorrow?" She asked shocked.

"We wanted to surprise you -- how we do?" I started to ask, only for the boys to finish the question. Momma James was filled with so much joy she began to cry. She hugged Kavelle, while kissing Kaville. Eventually switching! I watched her yellow peplum dress flow with her quick movements. Her braided partially grey hair was pulled into a low loose bun. No makeup besides her lashes like usual.

She was stunning!

"So what you cooking?" I raised my nose in the air like a detectives dog.

"Food, go wash up. Unpack!" She ordered. Me and the boys followed her orders, ready to destroy the food. We unpacked in less than twenty minutes. We  were washed up in less than five, anxious to eat.

"Say y'all prayers." Momma once again ordered as we all took our seat. We bowed our head and grabbed each other's hands. I began our prayer. . . "God, we thank you for this food. For rest and home and all things good. For wind and rain and sun above. But most of all for those we love."

"Amen!" Kavelle, Kaville, Momma James and myself said together.

Lifting our heads and opening my eyes, my jaw was on the floor. Momma made gumbo pasta, with creamy Alfredo sauce.

Hot links, green and red bell peppers, mushrooms, jumbo shrimp, crawfish & crab meat. With cheddar biscuits! Lord , I was in Heaven!

Today is the day I'm going to visit Khyrells grave site on my own. The boys went with Momma James and Jamal yesterday. I was not ready. Hell, I'm still not ready. But I fly out tomorrow morning.. So it's now or never!

I got out of the car and stood quietly on the side walk. This is section Bfive.

How fitting for my king!

I didn't move a muscle. I couldn't!

I immediately spotted which gravesite was his. I slightly smiled at the red, grey and white balloons. The flowers, the I Miss You cards. The Your The Best Dad cards.. Everything. My feet finally began to move. It felt as if I was floating directly towards him. Next thing you know, our old throw blanket was on the ground and my white cotton sundress was flowing against my legs...
