Jose POV

David and I have finally set this plan in complete motion.

We have Samantha, we have the key, and now all were missing is Kaylin and Yesse.

Kaylin and Yesse have a lot of bad blood. Some people say that opposites attract or that being different is better for relationships/friendships, but i disagree. A LOT.

Kaylin is the essential nerd. Shes awesome, and shell always be one of my closest friends, but she can be really shy sometimes and almost mute. Its difficult to get to know her, but once you do, shes awesome.

Yesse is part of the band, but she really is beyond extroverted. Loud, powerful, happy, wild, and free. She doesnt give a fuck about anything else but her happyness. At times, she can be like a mom to us, but she was awesome too.

Their personalities clash against each other like knights in war.

Samantha is probably the most chill out of them. She isnt extroverted like Yesse, or Introverted like Mike and Kay, but in the middle.

Thats were id probably put myself to be honest. Never the most social, but never mute. Most of the time.

Seeing David and Samantha again made me so happy. Its been so long. I really wish that one day this group comes back. For good.

Sam, David and I walk around, looking for Yesse and Kaylin. This being 6th period, no grade is out for lunch.

Meaning your not supposed to be outside. AT ALL.

As were creeping by, i noticed that Sams shoes were making large thuds as were walking, and they almost got the attention of an administrator walking by.

Guess thats what happens when your cheerleading. I guess.

Good god. Wheres Kaylin?

Kaylin POV

After reuniting with Yesse, we start heading around the hallways.

Yesse is pretty loud, even in her "inside voice", so im essentially fucked.

Heading by, i decide to text Jose.

I look for my messages to find Joses contact.

Jose🎅🏿

"Where are you?"

"Around the Cafeteria. Get your ass over here."

"Dont tell me what to do."

"Sure, Mulan."

"W.E."

"Love you lmao"

"Sure boo. Bye."

"Peace"

You see how our text messages usually go?

And most people wonder why Jose always gets the cold shoulder. BRUH.

I decide to head for the Cafeteria, but im met with a weird decision.

Theres 2 hall monitors, in both directions.

Looks like someone mightve snitched on us. Anyways, part of me wants to set up a distraction and run for it, but were essentially cornered if we do that.

But Yesse didnt agree.

"Fuck. What are we supposed to do?" I said angrily.

"Youll thank me for this later Kay Kay. Trust me. Ill get there attention, distract them, and then go with the rest. Love you."

"Thank you.. I love you too.."

That was weird. But it felt nice to see  her appreciate my awesomeness.

Yesse steps up and the hall monitors immeadiatly step up to her.

She agreed, some fucking how, to getting a detention, but she needed both of them to write it.

I cant believe those idiots fell for that.

They both left to write the slip, and i run to hopefully see the guys.

I owe you one  Yesse. I really do.

Jose POV

Kaylin finally turns and meets us.

Sammy and her share a moment while David waves and i reach for a high five.

Good god the emotion.

Immediatly i ask for Yesse. Kaylin thinks im in fucking love with Yesse to the point of shipping #Yose.

I facepalm at that, but when she explained what Happened, thats when i  truly facepalmed.

But I realize something.

Maybe Yesse was just acting like a real mom. Whenever a kid breaks something, its the moms responsibility to fix it, or to do something for the kid.

Pay for his school, his supplies, the house, and lots more.

Kinda like Yesse sacrificed for Mike. I appreciate the fact that she did that.

David just says "Wow" and thinks.

Sammys jaw just drops.

As the leader (more or less) of this group, I guess its or fault to go see Mike.

We move through on the hallways, and we even get to see Yesse receive the penance hall.

Damn. That shit was cruel as fuck.

We move across, but eventually..

Fuck.

A teacher caught us.

Mr. Fucking Massey. Like Bruh. Shouldnt u be grading those weird ass tests u gave this morning. For real.

In his rough, dark voice, he cusses us out, and tells us that unless were going some where, we get penance halls.

Kaylin, with all her in depth personality and spirit, tells him were going to the library as a study group.

Kaylin came up with a bunch of perfect excuses. And Massey believed them all. Why?

Cause Kaylin is his best student, and shes consistent. I mean its March, and she hasnt dropped that title.

Jesus.

Anyways, he redirects us to the library and eventually leaves. We wait until he enters a classroom, and we move towards the closet.

All of sudden, the bell rings.

We decide to wait in a bush, hoping no one sees us.

Speaking of seeing things, to the right of my eye, I see Deez Nuts climbing the shool fence.

Hes coming back to P.E since he just skipped. Knowing that he has hw due for Spanish, he wont be here for long.

We move towards McMillans closet, but I tell Sam and David to go convince Deez Nuts to stay here, and distract him, while we get Mike.

Kaylin and I finally reach the closet.

Time to see if we can crack this kid.
