"How old are you?" Mohammed asked. Clearly he was trying to mock me because I hadn't talked to him in over three days.
I was upset because I've never had anyone mock and ridicule me. Not to my face anyway.
He not only kidnaps me but forces me into a loveless marriage. For heavens sake we didn't even have a relationship.
"Young enough for me to call you daddy," I sarcastically replied. If he wanted to play games well I was to show him. Not that he was old I would say he was no more than twenty five.
He was forming a smile over my answer. Well I must admit that most of the guys I've met melt over my sense of humour. I always liked to lighten up the mood and entertain people. It was my thing to make people smile.
"That's why u drool over my good looks any chance you get," he said. Was he serious? Drool more like puke. He was so cocky and I hated the confidence he had. He needed a good wake up call.
"Please your not my type," I quickly retaliated. His personality sure wasn't the type I was looking for in a man, but his look god damn was another thing.
"What's your type?" He questioned. I could defiantly tell he was becoming annoyed. He probably wasn't used to women talking to him like this. Well I wasn't going to let him put me down anymore.
"Wouldn't you like to know," I said. I wasn't going to sit here with him and tell him what I wanted in a man. It would be so awkward especially since there will be no way of me getting to know someone. Now that I was married to him.
"I think I already do since you were all over Ahmed," he said. I needed to laugh because he was literally getting frustrated. Maybe even a little jealous it seems, and Ahmed was defiantly not my type.
"Yes as you say Mohammed," if that's going to justify and answer things in your head then so be it. I liked seeing him gradually building anger. It was obvious that he was going to burst with anger soon.
"Don't be a bitch Ayana, I don't like it. I don't know how your parents have been dealing with you and your attitude," he said. That was really cruel to say, especially mentioning my parents.
"Wow! You've been so quick to judge since the moment you've seen me," I said. I wasn't going to sit there and show him that his words were hurting me. Who was he to say such mean and hurtful things. What have I done to deserve this in my life.
"Have I not been right about everything so far? He questioned. What was funny was that he wasn't right about anything. He knew nothing about my relationship about Ahmed or my upbringing. When reality was that I was a Muslim Virgin. Yet here he thought I was the biggest slut in Australia.
"No, nothing you've assumed about me is true," I said. I was fuming with anger. I hated him thinking and perceiving me this way. If only he knew all the nice things about me maybe he wouldn't be treating me like this.
"The only thing you know about me is my age and name," I said. It was the truth because that was the only thing he knew.
He was silent and just nodded, I could tell he was thinking about what I've so far said to him. I slightly regretted telling him that he knew nothing about me because I knew now that he was going to make it his mission to find out about me.
