I walked outside alone. The day was dark and cold. It was December now.

I watched as Ron walked up to me.

"Ron?" I asked worriedly.

His face looked sad and nervous. I grabbed his hands and looked him in the eyes. They looked moist.

"Ron?" I repeated.

"Hermione..." He stumbled upon his words, " I can't date you." He said sadly.

"What?" My heart dropped.

I felt weak as the first tear trickled down my cold cheek.

"Ron, why?" I forced myself to ask. "Because...Fred." Was all he said.

I understood. When I had put the obliviate spell on my parents for weeks I felt guilty.

"Okay." I said as I ran away.

What just happened? Of course I understood but of he was sad then wouldn't he want me for comfort?

I was lonely and teary eyed as walked around the castle in my long gray coat and jeans. Under it was my red sweater and a T-shirt under that.

My hair was pulled back halfway so that my neck didn't freeze.

Today was the morning of Saturday. I watched as snow fell. I walked further away from Hogwarts.

I reached the top of the hill where an old tall tree towered over me. It's branches spread wide and shadowed over the now white grass.

The tree looked beautiful with the white snow falling atop it. I sat down in the frozen snow.

Me and Ron called this our tree. We got that because that's where we always went. It was private and quiet. I liked that.

After it got to cold for me I went back to the school. It was darkening now.

I wasn't truly that sad over me and Ron's break up. I knew we were still friends.

It was December 13th. Two days away from Christmas break now. Me, Harry and Ron were all staying the only other Gryffindor that would be here was Ginny. She and Harry were a couple now. Me and Ron felt the same around each other...friends.

Of course I still had feelings for him. I hoped he had them for me to.

As I climbed in my bed that night I thought if him. Everything was fine right now.
