Celestia moved resolutely toward the southern regions of the continent. These were lands she did not know, but that was not what worried her most. She still did not fully understand who she really was or what connection she had to the fragmented memories that surfaced in her mind.In the distance, she spotted a forest and decided to investigate it.
It was like an intuition. Or perhaps she was being manipulated by that demon who had mysteriously appeared in her life.
As she ventured deeper into the trees, she discovered a beautiful lake hidden in the heart of the forest. The place possessed a strange aura, as if time had stood still there long ago. It didn't take her long to realize she was witnessing a time loop.
By the lake's shore, a young woman lay on the grass. She had a scar on her face, a mark common among witches who had been cursed by the powerful wizard of antiquity. Despite this, her expression conveyed tranquility. She looked tired, but also happy. Her attire resembled that of a fairy, made from simple fabrics and natural adornments. Most witches were poor and made their own clothes from whatever resources they could find.
The young woman began to sit up slowly. Upon seeing Celestia, she was surprised."Who are you? I've never seen anyone come into this forest. It's always the same."Celestia watched her for a few seconds before answering.
"I'm just someone passing through."
The young woman tilted her head suspiciously.
"Passing through? Hmm... in a time loop? You're no ordinary person."Celestia usually hid her power and avoided revealing her true nature, but this time she decided to be honest.
"Well, you've got me. I'm one of the most powerful witches. I have nothing against you; I just found this forest curious. You have a strange aura, though now that I look at you more closely... you were at my orphanage. Don't you remember me?"
Lafy remained pensive for a few moments.
"Right... That witch who's always blackmailing people into doing her favors. You haven't come to collect a debt, have you?"
She said this in a somewhat somber tone as she lay back down on the grass.
Before Celestia could answer, she sensed a familiar presence. Time around her began to slow down. The leaves on the trees moved slower and slower, and the small ripples on the lake seemed to be suspended in the water. Then the demon who had given her the strange eye appeared.
The creature watched Lafy for a few seconds before speaking.
"You should get along with her. After all, she's your daughter from your previous life, even if you don't remember it."
Celestia didn't take her eyes off him. She still didn't trust that demon. It was true that many of the things he said turned out to be true, but it was also clear that he was constantly withholding information.
The demon pointed at Lafy.
"She has a tattoo on her back. A moon, a heart, and a scythe."
Celestia remained silent as she listened.
"The moon represents the day you inherited the power of the Eye of the Daughter of the Dimensional Void. The heart represents all the pain you accumulated that same day."
The witch waited a few seconds.
"And the scythe?"
The demon smiled, but didn't answer the question.
"You got those tattoos to protect her from the future world, which is now the present. This loop won't end until she discovers her power of soul transfer."
