~Alana Juniper~
As the brisk smell of cool nighttime autumn fills into my lungs, my paws crunching the crisp fragile leaves. Running in the woods during fall is quite majestic if you ask me. I mean, besides all those beautiful colors on the leaves. It's the smell that makes fall majestic, full of memories. That very same smell brings me that nostalgic memory of that lip-smacking yet warm apple pie Mom would bake every fall for me as a little girl.
There's one fact you should know about me...
I'm a werewolf. Don't worry, I don't bite unless I have to.I snap out of my reverie as I step on a stick.
"Okay okay, Alana. Just stay in the reality and you'll be just fine." I murmur to myself, becoming aware of my surroundings. Ugh, smoke and that smoke sure doesn't smell natural at all.Ooh! I also smell cheddar brats! You know, these ones that every time you take a bite, the cheddar filling oozes out. When it comes to these heavenly delicious brats, I just wanna follow that smell. Hey, don't judge me! Everybody has an obsession of some sort. As the smell lures me closer to the source, which I hadn't realized I've been walking the wh- Ow!
I bumped into an old tree stump.
Wow. Typical clumsy me, of course I'd bump into a tree when I'm not paying attention.
Immediately, Every strand of fur sticks up as I smell something. I take a quick whiff and without a doubt, I smell a human. Of course there would be an human when you smell brats. Brats can't cook themselves...I wish they do.
I squint my eyes noticing a faint orange glow.Fire.
As I amble towards the glow, accidently stepping on a stick. Seriously, I broke a stick two times in a row, what happened to my gracefulness?!
A masculine voice shouts out, "Who's there?"
I freeze in my tracks, seeking for the human. My eyes land on him, eating that last bit of that cheese filled goodness, and using the s'mores stick to defend himself...or to attack me. I can't see much details on his face when the embers of the fire glows onto his face, making him look like a smurf who dipped himself in orange paint. (Note the exaggeration there.)
Suddenly, he gazes into my direction. I tense up, widening my eyes in surprise.
Right, I'm a white wolf. It's still bright enough to see your surrounding. It's not like I have Harry's cloak of Invisibility at the moment...that would've been cool though.
Curiosity took over me as I take two small yet quiet and slow steps towards him. The boy drops his stick as to show no harm, which is a good start. I did sense fear at first but now, I sense him as a calm and relaxed human being.
Speaking of him, I can see his face little better since I'm closer to him now. He looks like he could be 14 or 15; relatively close to my age. He also looks strong as in athletic strong, not quite burly. I can tell that his hair is brown but I don't know what kind of brown though. I lock eyes into his somewhat mysterious sea-green eyes.
He's seems fine though...
I guess?

Man, I was scared to death at first when I heard a twig snap. But now that I know that it's just a wolf, I'm not that afraid anymore. I drop my s'mores stick to show that I meant no harm and also to show that there's no brats left. Taking a hesitant step back, the snow-white she-wolf just gazes into my eyes. Which is interesting because most wolves that I've encountered would just stare at me and just continue onto their own lives...or I'd become dinner. I gaze back to observe her brown eyes and of course, it's too dark out for me to even know her eye color.
Ah, you're probably wondering how I know that wolf is a female. Well, I'm quite familiar to wolves hence having the woods as my backyard all my life. Female wolves tend to be smaller compared males and have smoother fur too. They also tend to have a small mane around their necks than the males. Lastly, (Besides the obvious, between the hind legs part) females are more slimmer than the males, so they do look more "feminine".
Anyways, I break our eye contact and take two slow steps back towards my house, The wolf relaxes her tail and hesitantly glances at the ground. When she glances up, gazing into my eyes. I really don't want to even know what's going through her head because she might be hungry. After all, I did just ate a cheesy brat.
Man, those were good.
Suddenly, the wolf tensed, her ears perking up.
"Colby! Are you going to bed soon?"
Way to ruin the moment, Mom.
The wolf jerks away from her stance and runs away to only God knows where. "Oh! There you are, sweet cheeks!" Mom says while sliding the porch door open, "You better put out that fire before you go to bed!" Mom trudges by me to kiss the top of my head and whispers with weariness, "G'night sweetie."
"G'night, Ma." Mom closes the porch door behind her, leaving me alone with the woods and the mysterious wolf that's out there somewhere.
My wolf.

"Colby! Are you going to bed soon?" A female voice hollers, probably his mother.
Ah, that's the name. It's Colby, right?
Anyways, I jerk away from Colby and turn to escape. I don't want his mom to know that her own son is face to face with a wolf!
I pick up my pace a little quicker, hoping to get home soon.
But, I'm feeling something from that boy, Colby, and I don't even know how to describe the feeling. Possibly adrenaline?
When my house comes into view, I slow down and shift into human, which actually feels good like as if I'm taking my bra off. Unfortunately, It's frigid cold outside.
As I made my way to my bedroom, I strip down and slip into my favorite pj's.
Man, the way he gazes into my eyes like I am a human. His somewhat warm and welcoming eyes gave me that fuzzy feeling that I've never felt before. His mesmerising sea-green eyes make me feel like I'm drowning. Why am I feeling this?
Nah, I probably just caught a cold.I crawl into my bed, falling asleep before my head hits the pillows.
When will I see him again..? At least tomorrow's a new day.
