September 5
Day: 9
3 days staying at the hotel

Adalines POV

Today was Monday, the day Harry was coming over.

I was kind of worried, I didn't really know him, but something about him told me to trust him. It's not like I am going to tell him about why I'm here. Maybe having him around will help me be distracted from all the shit running
through mind.

I've been at this motel for 3 days now. Besides leaving to get a haircut, all the fresh air I've gotten is from the safety of my back porch. My phone has been playing music nonstop. It's the only thing helping me relax. I haven't gotten one good nights sleep besides the day I got here.

Night after night, the dark blue under my eyes is getting darker. I'm in desperate need for sleeping pills and actual food. I've been living off cheese-its and granola for the past couple of days. Its only around 7:00 am now so I could go get supplies. Maybe I could run to the city instead. It's dangerous for sure but they wouldn't suspect me. I roll out of the sheets, placing my feet on the cold wood floor.

I decided to get my room upgraded. I switched rooms to a smaller room with the same shady outside area but it's not as boring. Over the bed, there are lights that you can switch to change their color. The walls are a dark blue and the flooring is nice hard wood. As far as the bathroom, it's  identical to the other one.

I take a sip of coffee as I look out the corner of the window that isn't covered by the curtains. I see the entrance of the motel. I sit in my red bra and underwear, bundled in a blanket watching cars go by outside.

I need to save as much money as I can. I have to get supplies. I stand back up and change by slipping a plain grey T-shirt over my head and leggings. I slip on my black running sneakers, grab four 20dollar bills, and my key to the room. I stick my ear buds in my ear, take a deep breath, and start running out of the parking lot.

My breathing is heavy. I can feel my heart pumping with fear. I pass the sign informing me that I have reached the city. I continue running until I see a small pharmacy. I pull the handle forward, greeted by the doorbell indicating that someone had entered.

I nearly sprint to the counter. I just what what I came for, then go back to hiding. My neck, my hands, my legs, everything on my body covered with a nervous tingle along with the sweat of my fear. I manage to get my prescription which will last me around a month. Before I leave, I restock of food by purchasing apples, almonds, bread, coffee, and other items that I have been living off. After buying another backpack to hold all the items, I finish my purchases and leave the store.

Down the street, I see a small clothing store that I used to shop at pre-hiding. Letting a small smile shine through my lips, I begin walking toward the entrance.

After a step or two, I became aware of my surrounds again. My eyes, huge with fear, slowly recall the party hall where everything changed. I swear, keeping this shit off my mind is getting harder and harder.

I step inside and here the quiet mumbling of the workers rearranging clothing onto hooks," Hello welcome to The Chick" calls out a middle aged woman who glances over in my direction and smiles gently. I reply with the slightest nod of my head as I settle down.

This store wasn't to awful, I actually really liked it. It had a sort of Urban Outfitters feel to it.

I picked out a long maroon sweater, a black basic beanie, and a thicker jacket than my hoodie. It was similar to a army jacket but made of the same material. Perfect for the upcoming chilly  weather.

"your total is 24.07" the cashier informs me.

I swipe my card as the lady from before complements my hair.

" Thank you so much, this is the first time that I've gone red" I thank her.

" oh course honey!" she smiles while typing on the computer.

" Here is that and would you like the coupon in the bag or with you" She questions me while handing over the bag.

" Just toss it out, Thank you!"

I got out of the city as quickly as possible. I crammed my bags into the book bag, grabbed the bottle of wine in my hand, and took off up the hill back to my safe heaven.

I miss Logan, I miss that safe feeling, he helped my so much through this and even though it's still to much to handle, if he didn't step up, I most likely wouldn't have left that forest by his college.

My breathing is all I focus on at this point, I listen to my breathing as the cold wind blows me from side to side. Harry is coming over soon, at least that's what we said we were going to do. It's around 11:48 now, so I have time to prepare.

Slamming my back against the door, I finally reach my room. Sweet relief washes over my body. I slowly slide down the door as I reach the floor, I sit down and begin to laugh, out of pure joy that I got to here without any problems.

I hear a heavy 2 knocks at my door. I finish hopping a earring through my ear, I speed walk over to the door. I open up the door after looking through the peep hole, greeting the one and only.

" How have you been?" He asks

" I've been pretty good, and you?" I ask Harry.
