"I Had A Dream"

Ever since the day that Hazel had showed up at Percys apartment and Percy had kicked Nico out, the marine biologist had kept a safe distance from the younger college boy. And safe distance meant that Percy neither talked to Nico, went looking for him, nor acknowledged Nico when he was around. It bothered the freshman and that was the only thing that Hazel caught onto: that Nico seemed to have something on his mind. All the time. She didn't bother question it because she knew Nico would lie to her anyway, so she kept her mouth shut and just told him that she was there to talk if he ever needed it.
Percy, too, had been feeling and acting strange, but he was very conscious of that and he tried to keep himself in check. It was easy in public but when he was alone, his thoughts went completely berserk. He had known, since the first time he kissed the freshman, that he would be hooked on the addictive flavor that seemed to drip from Nicos plump lips. He pictured them all the time, tasted them even when, and especially when, the freshman wasn't around, and wanted them more than anything.
But he couldn't have them.
Hazel had already made it quite clear to Piper that Nico wasn't on the market, especially for Percy, and she had no intention on changing her mind. And that's why she kept Nico so close to her, and her friends, and that's why Percy was being driven insane: the forbidden fruit was being offered to him on a silver platter. But he didn't realize his insanity right away. That came a little later, very late at night, while he layed on his bed drenched in sweat. The saltiness clung to his nostrils and small whimpers and whines filled his ears. And positioned over Percy's pelvis, much to his liking, was Nico. A completely nude Nico moving himself slowly up and down, causing Percy to feel a warm sensation covering a specific part of his lower half. Every time Nico pushed himself up, the warmth resided and Percys body felt very open and exposed, not that he minded. But when the freshman returned to the place Percy really wanted him, there was such a tightness around him that he marveled at it and even found himself letting go of a few unintended moans.
Percy reached up slowly and caressed the freshmans face gently, feeling the thick layer of sweat that covered his skin, too. He wasn't sure if anyone had ever looked more beautiful to him in his life but he was sure he was enjoying this moment more than anything.
By the dim light coming from a lamp post outside his window, he could see every move Nicos body made. He could see every facial expression. He could see the exact way Nicos hand moved up and down on his own body as he pleasured that part of himself. He could see the tightening of the freshmans cute little stomach muscles and the face he put on as he reached his climax, and Percy could hear the moan he himself let emanate through the room as he reveled in the way the freshman kept moving even once he had finished just so Percy could have his pleasure, too. And Percy did feel pleasure. He felt more satisfied than he ever had in his whole life. He closed his eyes tightly but saw white instead of black and let himself calm before retracting his eye lids again. He opened his eyes and saw a totally dark, dimly lit bedroom void of any life but his own.
He dropped his head harshly onto the pillow and groweled into the room that Nico had never even been in.
"You couldn't wait until I was awake to really experience something like that, could you brain?" He climbed out of bed and started ripping his sheets and blankets off the mattress. "You just had to do it while I was sleeping, didn't you?" He carried the load of, now soiled, bed clothes to his washing machine before changing his boxers and grabbing his pillow and an extra blanket and taking up residence on the couch for the remainder of the night.

It was late morning when Percy opened his eyes again and he checked the time, wondering why his alarm hadn't woken him sooner. Then it occurred to him that his alarm had no reason to wake him on a Saturday. He dropped his phone back to the floor and flopped back, looking up at his ceiling. He closed his eyes and sighed at himself as the memory of the oh-so-vivid dream he had had the night before flooded his mind. A part of him wished he could just forget that his imagination had orchestrated something so sultry, but another part, a very small part, wished it hadn't been just a dream.
The marine biologist climbed from the couch and went to take a long, warm shower that he really needed. He thought being soothed by the water would help him clear his mind of the image that had stuck around since last night but he couldn't have been more wrong. Every time he closed his eyes, he saw the image of the naked freshman on his lap, satisfying the both of them with his movements. Percy hated that he couldn't get the image from his head and hated more that he was coming to like it.
Percy stepped from the shower and wrapped a towel around his waste before leaving the bathroom. He gave a shout when he looked toward his small kitchen and it was rewarded with a girls light chuckle.
"What are you doing here?"
Piper shrugged. "I thought we might go to breakfast this morning."
Percy, heart still pounding, nodded and told Piper to give him a minute to change. He had kind of hoped the girl would be gone when he came back out of his room, but she was still there. And she was no longer alone. Annabeth and Jason, too, now sat popping blueberries in their mouths.
"What is this?"
The three turned to Percy and smiled. "You didn't think it would just be you and me, did you Percy? After all, you say I need you to spend more time with Jason and Annabeths here so you don't feel like a total third wheel."
Percy shook his head as his friends. "Fine. But I'm not paying."
Piper slid from the stool. "No one asked you to."
The four made their way from Percy's apartment and to Jason's car to head out to breakfast. The whole drive to Dennys, Percy wondered what the underlying reason for the sudden suggestion to go out to eat was, since the chances of it being 'just because' were very slim. When the four arrived, were seated, and had placed their orders, Piper spoke up.
"So, Percy, how have things been?"
He shrugged. "Fine, I guess."
The other three nodded gently and Percy became very suspicious of their behavior. "Alright, what's goin on here, guys?"
Piper tried to act innocent and asked "What do you mean?"
Jason did a good job of making it seem like they weren't up to anything but Annabeth wasn't able to do that and Percy saw right through her.
"There's a reason for all this and I wanna know what. Right now."
Piper sighed and looked to Annabeth. "I need to teach you how to pull pull a poker face, miss."
Annabeth smiled as an odd form of apology but Piper didn't care that she had blown things. After all, it had to come up sooner or later, anyway.
"You've been avoiding everyone, Percy." Piper said flatly . "And we want to know why."
The marine biologist looked at his friend and thought about his actions for the past week. It was true that he had been ignoring everyone but it wasn't them, it someone else.
"It's not you guys." He said as he shook his head.
Piper smiled. "Oh we know that quite well. And we know who is it. So, my actual question is this: why are you ignoring Nico Di'Angelo?"
Percy threw his arms into the air and sat back in annoyance, drawing the attention of a few other restaurant patrons. "Why can't you just let this go, Piper? It's not that big of a deal."
The restaurant patrons eyes stayed glued to the college students. Annabeth smiled and waved at them, wording 'I'm sorry' and kind of making it seem like the marine biologist was crazy.
"It isn't a big deal, huh? And that's why you just caused a huge scene in the middle of Denny's. Because it's not a big deal." There was no mistaking the mockery in her tone.
Percy bit on the inside of his lower lip to supressed his agitation for his friends.
"Look," Piper leaned in and Percy watched as Jason wrapped one arm behind her back. "I tried my hardest with this and I know you still don't agree with my choice of Nico, but ignoring him is not the way to go with this, Perce."
Percy shook his head a little more. "That's not it, Piper."
"Then what is it, Percy?" She was clearly getting annoyed. "You've been acting so odd for the past few days."
Percy looked around the restaurant and realized that people were no longer staring at him, so he didn't feel so uncomfortable about it. "Piper, it's not that I'm mad at you for suggesting Nico."
Piper perked up. "So you finally accepted him?"
The marine biologist shook his head a slight bit. "Not on my own accord."
The other three college students were giving him looks that clearly meant they didn't understand. But Percy didn't want to say it. But he had to. So, putting aside all pride, he spoke a few simple words. "I had a dream."
The two girls looked at their friend in confusion but, of course, Jason made a joke out of it. "I'd be careful there, Percy. The last guy that said those words got shot."
Piper turned to her boyfriend and hit him in the chest, eliciting an apology to both her and the marine biologist.
Annabeth turned in her seat a bit. "Percy, that's not as unusual as you're making it seem."
Percy turned to face her and the architect moved back on the bench a little. "And me telling you what's going on isn't as easy as you're making it seem, Annabeth." He groweled and slammed his head back into the seat behind him. "I feel like I'm going crazy. Every day, my mind is off in places it shouldn't be. I can't focus. I can't concentrate. And it's getting worse."
The waitress had come back and started to ask how things were but she stopped her words short and walked away when she heard Percy speaking. The marine biologist sighed at the woman's action and was thoroughly convinced everyone in the restaurant thought he was off his rocker.
Piper sighed lightly. "Okay. You had a dream and now you feel like you're going crazy? What was it with this dream?"
Percy looked at his friends faces again. "Do I have to tell you?"
Jason dropped his head into the table and Annabeth chuckled dryly. Piper was the one to speak. "You are so stubborn, Percy. And you have such a big head. Your ego, I swear, will be your undoing. We always joked about loyalty, but now I'm not sure."
Percy shot her a look. "This isn't a time for jokes."
Piper held her hands in surrender. "Okay, I'm sorry. But, if this isn't a time for jokes, maybe it's not a time for beating around the bush, either."
Percy knew Piper was right and he figured it would make everything easier if he just came out and said it. But, how was he supposed to put it?
"The dream was about Nico..." He tried.
Piper smiled but Annabeth and Jason held surprised looks.
"And it wasn't quite conventional..." He hoped that gave them an idea.
Pipers smiled faded as he she was made confused but it only took her a couple of seconds to read between the lines.
"Oh my goodness." She was smiling widely, wider, even, than before. "I did not expect that."
Jason and Annabeth looked at one another then at the artist. "What are they talking about?"
Piper beamed a little brighter and smiled a little braoder. She was trying to hold back a slight laugh while her friends confused expressions never faded. Then she spoke.
"Percy had a wet dream about Nico Di'Angelo."
