Percy had taken Nico home pretty early the morning after Halloween and had actually done so with the freshman half asleep. He didn't care, though, because he had other things to worry about. Mainly, he was thinking about how to make his next move. As crazy as it sounded, he needed a plan. A strategy. It was his top priority and his main reason for, once again, keeping his distance from Nico Di'Angelo.
Only a few days into November, though, that number one priority changed. The marine biologist got a call from his mom telling him he wouldn't be getting any money from her until the new year. That wasn't really an isssue, though, and was even quite easily fixed: Percy got himself a job. He was working the closing shift at the campus café and it even helped him further himself from the freshman but it was also where his problems arose. His job took up most all of his time but that wasn't all... The café closed at midnight but people stopped coming hours before that and the marine biologist spent plenty of time in complete and utter boredom that he attempted to fix any way he possibly could. He explored the storeroom and the kitchen for the first few days but that didn't keep him occupied long enough to say so. He would make himself food or coffee once in a while but that didn't do much good, either. He took to YouTube but music videos only occupied him for about a week. Toward the end of the month, the marine biologist was nearly desperate for something to do during his last couple of hours of work. But he felt stupid for letting it get that far and thought of something brilliant and couldn't believe he hadn't thought it up any sooner.
It was November twenty fifth when the marine biologist had that thought and he sat on the counter top with his phone in hand. He unlocked the screen and contemplated for another few seconds before searching through his contacts for a specific one: Nicos. He shamed himself silently that he hadn't done this sooner. After all, he had been texting the freshman periodically throughout the days since Halloween just to make Nico not feel neglected. It wasn't really his style but it was Pipers idea and he couldn't really see anything wrong with it. He had even called a couple of times just for the heck of it and to let Nico hear his voice. Or was it so he could hear Nicos... Whatever the reason, and with a final shameful shake of his head, Percy clicked the name and waited for the freshman to answer.
*****"Hello?"
"Hey, Nico" Percy said quickly. "I didn't wake you up, did I?"
There was a bit of a ruckus on the other end if the line and Percy had to hold in a chuckle because it sounded as if the freshman had fallen. Nevertheless, the younger college boy answered quickly. *****"No. No you didn't."***** He studdered a slight bit. *****"You didn't wake me up."*****
The marine biologist smirked. "Good. You're not doing anything right now, are you?"
Percy felt as if Nico shook his head. *****"I'm watching The Walking Dead reruns on Netflix so, no, I'm not doing anything."***** His voice got a little quiet, shy, toward the end.
Percy let another smirk spread across his face. "Good. You wanna come to the café and keep me company? It's boring as hell and I haven't had a customer in over an hour."
There was a bit of a silence before the freshman studdered out a quiet and shy answer. *****"Sure. Just let me get dressed and I'll be over as quick as I can."*****
Percy smirked lightly as thoughts formed in his mind. "I'll be waiting." He hung up knowing, beyond the shadow of a doubt, that Nico was left blushing and confused listening to the repetitive beeping of dead phone call. But he also knew that would just add to the overall suspenseful feeling for the freshman.
The marine biologist took off his apron and undid a couple of buttons on his dress shirt before rolling up his sleeves. He turned quickly to the door when he heard it open and was surprised to see Nico was there already.
He smiled at the freshman. "Hey, Nico."
Nico swallowed hard. "Hi, Percy."
There was no more words spoken between the two and, instead, they just started at one another. A sudden lust showed in Percy's eyes as a look of utter confusion displayed itself in Nicos. The marine biologist took it in for only a few seconds before he stepped toward the freshman slowly but with purpose. He took Nicos wrists in his hands and pinned them to the freshmans sides before going in to hungrily devour the younger college boys lips. He didn't waste any time in sucking the bottom on between his own and biting into it a little harsher than was necessary but Nico moaned out in pain and Percy couldn't imagine things being any better.
The marine biologist abused the freshmans lips with his own and his teeth and strongly moved his tongue around the younger college boys mouth, getting familiar with it. He pushed his own wet muscle into Nicos until the freshman fought back and then Percy pulled away and went for for his jaw. He left kisses and tender nibbles along the skin and listened to Nicos heavy breathing and light moans fill his ears. It was perfect. And it was just the right time to pull away.
Nico whimpered from the loss, the noises meant to be beg for Percy to come back. But that wasn't the plan. Percy had something else in mind.
"Can we talk?"
The freshman froze at the words, knowing they never meant anything good. But he nodded anyway. Percy smiled and pulled him toward a chair before sitting and pulling Nico onto his lap so the two were facing each other. The marine biologist cleared his throat.
"I'm going home for Thanksgiving tomorrow and, every year, I've brought home a friend." Percy wrapped his arms around Nicos back while the freshmans own hands were stuck uncomfortably between himself and the upperclassman. Percy spoke on. "This year, I wanna bring you."
Nicos eyes shot open and Percy chuckled at him. "M-me?"
The marine biologist nodded. "Yeah. But there's a catch."
Nico slouched on Percys lap and the upperclassman pulled him closer. The freshman made a slight, nervous, pout. "Isn't there always."
Percy chuckled. "I've always been taught that Thanksgiving is a time to be thankful for what you have. But the catch is this. You need to give me a reason to be thankful for you and I'll give you one to be thankful for me."
Nico blushed darkly.
Percy rubbed into the freshmans back softly and, dare Nico think it, lovingly. The younger college boy nuzzled his face into the marine biologists neck to hide his features an think until Percy said his shift was over and it was time to go. The upperclassman locked up and walked Nico back to his building in the cold silence of a late November night.
The marine biologist turned to the freshman when they got to the building. "I'll come get you tomorrow, okay? Pack enough clothes for the weekend."
Nico nodded and Percy bent down to kiss him tenderly. "Good night."
"Night." Nicos voice was soft and low. He turned away and entered his building before Percy walked off, excited for tomorrow.
