Bloody Blackness

A/N: before you read this chapter, I just wanted to tell you that "merde" is french for $h*+

I could feel both of us start to back away from the kiss.

After that we kind of just backed away and stood there awkwardly, but after a while we started walking again with me and Cody in the back of the group.

A couple of minutes later, our hands started brushing, then we started to hold hands.

 In a little bit, all of us started to slow down. We found a great spot to rest for the night but, once again, I couldn't sleep.

This time Maddie came to sit next to me instead of Cody.

"So, how was it?" Maddie said smiling.

"How was what?" I said. I could already feel myself blushing.

"Your kiss with Cody! How was your first kiss?"

"Oh...it was exhilarating. What about you and Kane?"

"What about it?" Oh My God it looks like she's about to hit me.

"Look. We both know what it's about and if you don't tell me, I will take you to the edge of Ireland, cut your finger and throw you into the ocean, just so can you see a shark."

"Merde! OK, I'll tell you just, please, don't-"

"I'm going to stop you right there. Did you just curse in french?"

"Yeah, so?"

"You can speak french?"

"What's the point in this conversation?"

"Where did you learn french from?"

"I have a life, you know."

"Yeah, whatever. So what about you and Kane?"

*Crunch* She just punched me! Why am I saying this in my head?

"Merde! What, in hell, did you do that for?!" I took my hand away from my nose and saw a dark reddish, thick liquid. It wasn't broken but it was really close to it.

"Well, you said that i didn't have a life!"

"I only said that so i could change the subject back to- oh my God my nose hurts!"

Maddie gave me the piece of fabric that she took from Aaron and put it in the stream by where we were and gave it to me to clean up. While I did that, she went and took another one from Aaron. When she came back, I used the cleaner one to hold up to my nose until it stopped bleeding.

Maddie pointed to the bloody rag. "I want you to take your bloody rag and throw it on Aaron."

So I did, just to see what would happen.

I'm not going to go into the details, but lets just say, it probably woke up the whole world.

So after a while, we were back to trying to find a village with Molly and Aaron leading, Maddie and Kane in the middle and Cody and me in the back.

Then we found another berry bush and sat down and had a small snack. Shortly after everyone but Cody and me had to use the restroom, so they left to go in the woods somewhere and would be right back. So Cody and I made small talk while waiting, but when I was talking, I felt the familiar feeling of something sharp in my neck and sleepiness. The last thing I remember is seeing Cody fall down right beside me.
