Wilmer's Pizza Grill was a silent orange building with patterned designs on it. It stood in between Remirda Town's Taco Bell and Burger King, all which were both closed.
There were just barely any kids in the pizza restaurant. Just a few. And those few weren't even satisfied. The person who ran the counter and basically the whole restaurant was a fourteen year old boy named Trevor. Trevor Fazer.
Arch, Emmer, and Ellie chronologically walked in the restaurant and went up to the counter.
"How's it going Trevor?" Arch asked.
Trevor, who was basically drooling his head on the counter, jolted up in surprise.
"Oh, hey guys. Didn't see you there."Arch noticed Trevor's appearance. It was pretty weary. He had dark hair which was all over the place. And his plain white t-shirt was covered in pizza sauce. The boy looked pretty tired.
"You guys can look at the menu if you want. But I doubt there would be anything left. Most of the daycare toddlers took nearly everything we have."
Emmer looked up at the electronic menu that seemed to be flickering quite secretly.
"We'll have the pepperoni."Trevor looked up at the menu and raised his eyebrows.
"They still have that? Okay, three pepperoni pizzas coming right up."Trevor left the counter and disappeared into the back.
"Man, I kinda preferred the Volcanic Melt." Ellie said.
"Not now Ellie," Emmer said.
Arch frowned. "Poor kid, he must be really tired. How can they expect a fourteen year to run a restaurant?"
Emmer shrugged. "I don't know dude. Same way they expect a seventeen year old to run as mayor, I guess."
Trevor came back with a black and orange box. He handed it to Emmer.
"Hope you enjoy, it's probably the only pepperoni we have left."Emmer handed Arch the pizza while he took out the wallet. He handed Trevor a $10 bill.
"Thanks for the pizza Trevor," Emmer said and then walked off. Ellie followed him. Arch was the last to pass Trevor.
He handed him a fifteen dollar bill.
"Hope it helps, it's all I have."Trevor smiled. "Thanks Arch. But I think I'll be fine."
The three of them sat by a cramped table that was coated in orange. They happily enjoyed their pizza, but as they craved away, they also talked about what they were going to do next.
"The second pod," Emmer said. "Where do you think it could possibly be?"
Ellie shrugged.
Arch gave a blind guess.
"Well if the last one was Green Alley, then the second one must also be here in Remirda Town.""True." Emmer said. "But how will we get the lead? I wish my dad would've told me the locations of these pods."
"Be patient Emmer. Zaragost aliens can be pretty tricky to spot." Arch said.
A quick blur whooshed into the room.
"Alex." Ellie muttered in agony.
"Hey guys, how's it going? Good pizza right?" Rambled a small boy with white-ish blonde hair.
"What do you want Alex?" Emmer snapped.
Alex Oyarti was an eleven year old mutant, just like some of the kids in Remirda Town. His power was super speed. You'd think it'd be amazing right? But most kids found it annoying. Most kids found Alex to be annoying. He would always be zooming into people's private moments or at people's most concentrated moments. Alex was a very distracting boy.
Alex zoomed by Arch.
"How's it going Archie?"Arch glummed. For the past few months in Remirda Town, kids would call him Archie. Ever since Damich and his crew had started that whole name.
"Get to the point Alex.""Right," Alex said. "Well, Mayor Jonathan informed me to tell you about a dead body. It was found near Sunny's Ravine."
"Another one?" Emmer asked.
"Yes. And he wanted you guys to examine it."
Arch, Emmer, and Ellie looked at each other worriedly.
"You think it has to do with the Zaragost?" Ellie whispered.
Emmer shook his head. "I don't know, but it shouldn't be too good."
