Sunny's Ravine was Remirda Town's tourist attraction site. Or well, it used to be. The site was located near an unfinished road bridge with a brown metal railing. Below the railing was a thin steep ravine that led you down to a harsh river with rippling rocks. The place was pretty dangerous, but still, people liked to see it.
Arch, Emmer, Ellie, and Alex stood by the railing, careful not to step too close. Below them they saw a kids body all sprawled into the harsh ravine. It looked all boneless and it was bleeding dramatically. The blood seemed to be seeping into the river that gushed on by.
Arch shuddered. "Who could have done this?"
Alex, still gazing down at the ravine, said, "It's not exactly who. Someone told me the kid did it to himself. Something about him losing his mind or something."
Emmer quizzically looked at Alex.
"Losing his mind?""Yeah. The kid was supposedly hearing voices. As if something in his head urged him to jump."
"Queer." Arch said.
"I agree," Ellie said, trying to disguise her tingling.
"So what do we do about it?" Emmer asked.
"Nothing," Alex said. "Mayor Jonathan just wanted to make sure you guys were informed."
Alex raised up his hand and peeked at his watch. "We should probably be going. Apparently, I'm the news boy of Remirda Town, so I can't stay in one place too long."
Arch looked at the ravine one last time.
"He's right. Me and Emmer have things to take care of."Alex looked at him curiously. Ellie leaned in to him and whispered, "Jobs."
"Oh," Alex said. "You have one too?"
"Pretty much," Ellie said.
Alex was about to zoom off when he noticed Arch's feathery wings.
"Where'd you get those rad wings?"Arch felt the extra weight on his back.
"It was a mutation.""Right." Alex said and then sprinted off, speeding off his feet like a roadrunner.
Arch and Ellie were still gawking at Alex's speed, but Emmer distracted them by saying, "Do you think the voices were intentional, or was it actually some other force telling him what to do?"
Arch shrugged. "Force or not, would you really want to know?"
