I woke up extra early the following morning, knowing that he's finally coming... and I wish he wasn't.I was the first to get into Larry's. Even Harry wasn't there yet. I began to clean up the kitchen because there was still dirty plates in the sink.
I cleaned up the place, wanting to make a good impression on Tomlinson.
"Niel?" I heard Harry call as he enter the diner.
I stopped mopping and looked at him.
"I'll clean up here. Go start on preparing food at the kitchen," Harry
said, taking the mop from me.Fifteen minutes later, I was cooking eggs, bacons and pancakes. Lauren had come and the diner was already half filled.
Suddenly, Harry came into the kitchen with a worried expression.
"He wants to meet us at another restaurant for brunch and he'll take a look at the diner afterwards. I'll call a substitute. We better get going," he said.
I sighed and changed into normal clothes.
-
"Are you okay?" I asked Harry as he drove us to the restaurant.
"Just a 'lil nervous. Haven't seen him for so long," he said.
"Do you... miss him?" I asked.
He nodded and smiled as he focused on the road.
I can't help but feel jealous just by watching Harry get nervous over Louis.
Soon, we reached a fancy Italian restaurant. As we walked inside, Harry intertwined our fingers.
Electricity flowed through my body.
We walked through the restaurant and approached a table with a man around our age. He looked hot.
He immediately stood up as he saw the both of us.
"Harry! Been 2 years since I saw you," Louis said, grinning.
"Yeah. Time sure flies. Anyway, Lou, this is Niel, my boyfriend," Harry said, letting go of my hand and wrapping his arm around my waist.
I saw disappointment in Louis' eyes.
"Hello, I'm Louis. I heard you worked at Larry's as well? I can't wait to check it out later," he said.
The three of us sat down and ordered.
It was awkward.
"So... does Harry still snore loudly? I bet he still does," Louis asked me, chuckling.
I gave out a nevous laugh.
"I do not!" Harry protested, a smile forming on his lips.
After that, Louis and Harry started talking about random things I don't understand.
To be honest, they make a good couple. A better couple than Harry and I. As if we even are.
"You okay, baby? You haven't touched your food," Harry said.
Baby. Bullshit.
I began to slice the steak but it doesn't seem to cut. Fucking hell. Louis must be thinking why Harry would go for a cheap ass guy who doesn't know how to cut meat.
"Here, baby, I'll do it for you," Harry says as he takes the knife from me and slices it like slicing butter.
"Here you go," he says as he plants a kiss on my temple.
I've always dreamed of Harry doing these to me.
I muttered a, 'thanks' and I saw Louis looking at me, his eyes filled with jealousy.
