Haruki
"We'll get stuck in traffic if you don't move fast, mom, Akari." I said.
I get it, it's still four in the afternoon and the castle is not that far from here, but have they forgotten the fact that surely almost everyone living in this country would probably go and that would cause traffic?
"Beats me," I replied. "Ano yan dad? Letter of request?"
Tumango siya, "Another letter of request. Attached here are the details. Thankfully, it doesn't look like a hard case, it looks easier."
"Patingin,"
How the hell is this 'easier'? It's still complicated as usual.
"Dad, how can you be so sure na inosente yang cliente mo?" I asked.
"It's a defense attorney's job to prove his client's innocence, am I wrong? But son, it's more important to trust your client. And you know me, I turn down a request when I know they're really guilty."
Napangiti ako. My dad's a famous and well-respected defense attorney, since he turns down people who he thinks are guilty, he has no record of loss. Cool, right?
I want to be like my dad, gusto ko rin maging lawyer-but this time, I want to be the opposite, I want to be a prosecutor, and I can't be one if I become the prince consort right? Not that I'm confident that I will be though.
"Haruki, are you that excited to meet the princess?"
"Hell no. I promise you mom, I won't fall for her." I said bluntly.
"Oh dear, you'll change your mind right after you see the princess." She said confidently while fixing my suit.
Along the road, I cussed.
The traffic is even worse!
"Ka-text mo ba crush mo?" Tanong ko.
Tinaasan niya ako ng kilay, "Kuya, my standards are too high, it's impossible for me to fall in love."
I eyed on her suspiciously. Heck, although my sister's standards are impossible to reach, I can't stay relaxed. Boys will surely court her, and no brother would want to give his sister to anyone! You know, sibling complex.
"Kuya, stop being so overprotective. Pananakot niya.
"Who cares? It's not like I have feelings for the 'wonderful' princess, my dearest sibling."
