"Jack Barakat! You get your ass in here now!" Called a familiar voice from the kitchen.
"Woaah, calm down mum. What do you want?" Jack screamed from the lounge
"Daisy's on the phone, she sounds really upset" Jacks mum stared at Jack as her turned his head around the corner into the kitchen. Jacks mum stood there with the phone in her hand "Well?" Jacks mum said in a stern voice "Take the bloody phone jack!"
Jack took the phone out of his mums hand and put the phone up towards his face. Jacks mum turned and walked up the stairs.
"Hello" Said Jack in a low voice.
"Jack! It's me Daisy, Jack, I need to tell you something, it's important"
"What is it daisy?"
"It's kinda hard for me to say, can I maybe pop around at say 5pm? I need to talk to you, in person"
"Sure, see you at 5 babes!"
"Bye Jack" Daisy hung up the phone before jack was able to put the phone down. Jack leaned over to the fridge and poured out a can of beer.
"Well?" Jacks mum said as she peered around the corner with a big pile of washing.
"Huh?" Jack hesitated. Jacks mum turned her head to one side.
"What did she want?"
"Oh right, she's coming round at 5, she didn't tell me what she wants, oh well, guess I'll find out soon enough"
"Oh", said jacks mum. Jack opened the can of beer and took a long gulp, almost emptying the entire can. Jack ran upstairs and grabbed his Gibson SG from the side of his wardrobe.
Jack began to start playing a simple riff, "Urgh! Stupid guitar, what's your problem? Why can't you do anything right!" Jack threw his guitar on the floor, jumped onto his bed and grabbed his laptop. "ok, twitter" he thought to himself. "wow, 3,000 tweets since yesterday, Jesus fucking burritos"
Jack grabbed his phone from the side, "10 new text messages?"
Alex: dude, you free at 5?
Daisy: Hey, need to talk to you.
Daisy: Tb please x
Daisy: Pick up your phone xxx
Alex: Dude, answer my text.
Zach: Mate we need to meet up!
Daisy: babeee xx pick up ur phone, we need to talk
Daisy: can't wait to see you later
Daisy: Miss youuu xxx
Mom - honny, going out, be back about 10?
"Oh, shit, daisy's coming round in 5 minutes?"
Jack slammed his laptop shut, and put it under his bed, and tried to tidy his sheets. Jack stood back and looked at his room, "Oh dear" jack thought to himself. All that could be seen of jacks floor were beer cans and dirty pants. "Oh well."
Jack carefully laid his guitar up against the wardrobe, and walked into the hallway shutting the door behind himself.
Jack ran down to the door just in time to open it to a soaking wet daisy.
"Daisy! what the actual hell?" Daisy stared at the floor.
"Daisy? are you going to actually sit down or something?" Jack looked at her. She was wearing a floral summer dress and boots. Her dark hair was dripping and her makeup was smudged.
Jack walked towards the kitchen and turned on the kettle. He turned back to Daisy.
She looked as if she was about to cry. Jack grabbed hold of Daisy's hand. "Daisy, you're freezing! where the hell have you been?" Daisy grabbed hold of jacks hand.
" I just, couldn't find my umbrella, i'm fine!" The kettle reached boiling point and Jack turned to get cups out of the cupboard. He looked back at Daisy who was now sitting on the sofa by the front door.
"Is tea okay?"
"yeah, tea would be great!" Daisy leaned down to take of her sodden boots. Jack made the tea and turned to Daisy. He grabbed hold of Daisys free hand and began to walk upstairs.
Jack tried to clear the pants covered floor and moved a space on his bed. Daisy took a seat next to him. "What's up?" said Jack in a deep voice.
"I just needed to talk to you"
Jack leaned to give Daisy a hug, when he heard a knock from the door. "Be right back Daisy"
Jack ran down the stairs to hear continous knocking. "okay, okay i'm coming" Jack opened the door.
"I bet you are" said Alex with a cheeky grin. Alex, Zach and Rian waited in the doorway. "Are we allowed in the house then?"
"urm, I guess"
The boys ran up the stairs and into the bedroom, to find Daisy sipping tea.
"Hey" called Alex.
"I best be going" Daisy got up to leave, "you don't need me here right now. I just thought you were free, my mistake.." Daisy left the room and turned to look at Alex as she left the room.
