His name was buttons
He was my friend
Fur so soft
Brown and red
Black button nose
Big white paws
Buttons my friend until the end
Buttons got sick one day
I came home from school
Mommy told me that buttons fell in the pool
Buttons couldn't swim
And now buttons is gone
