Another Hunter?!

Another hunt. Other people might go crazy if they knew what I had been doing since my 17th birthday. I was continuously looking for evil things. Looking for it and when I found it, kill it. I needed it to survive. Without the thrill of the hunt, I would go crazy. The thought that an evil spirit might catch me before I catch him, makes my adrenaline level rise. Even though I had 'fought' (if you can call it that) an evil spirit so often, every time it was enough to not hunt for a few days. After that, the urge to hunt came back. I tried to clear my head and tried to focus on my surroundings.

Concentrating was not one of my best qualities. I was in an old dark house. The only light that came into the house, was the light that the moon reflected. I didn't use a flashlight, while my eyes see as much in the dark as they see in the daylight. I didn't question it. It came in handy on hunts. So I didn't complain. "Lola, Focus" I call myself out of my thoughts. I knew what I had to do, find the remains and burn them in salt. Honestly I don't have any idea what I'm hunting. I assumed it was an evil spirit, since that is usually the case. I was about to walk out of the entrance hall when I heard footsteps. Which was very strange, since as far as I know spirits do not walk. I changed my salt gun for my revolver. I closed my eyes to determine where the sound was coming from. I opened my eyes as soon as I found that it seemed human and it was coming closer. I looked around what would be the best place to defend myself. The entrance hall was big enough to fight, but I decided to wait first. To see what I'm dealing with. I ran, as quietly as I possibly could, up the stairs. It was an old wooden house, so it was a very difficult thing to do. The stairs seemed to cry with every step I took. When I reached the top, I looked around. There were 2 staircases that leaded to this passage. Between those two there was a wooden railing. When you stood in the middle of the passage, you had a clear view of the front door. I decided to stay here. I listened again and I heard someone/something grabbing a better hold of their gun. It was a very small movement but, just as my other senses, my hearing was more developed. I listened more carefully and I heard a heartbeat. This has to be a human. And from the sound of it the person was pretty calm. So this has to be a hunter. Still I didn't want to jump to this conclusion to fast. I needed to see it first. The figure slowly walked into the hall. At first I only saw the barrel of the gun. I identified the gun as a Glock 17L. I found it a very good choice. I have one just like that. Slowly I saw arms came into view. I decided that I would jump up on the person as long as his back was still turned to me. The next few minutes went by very fast. I jumped down and made sure the gun was no longer in his hands. But he fought back and I got a few punches. However, I also hit the figure a few times. I dodged a kick and grabbed his leg. I turned it and he lost his balance. Once he was on the ground I pinned him down.

And I asked "What do you think you're doing here?" I didn't get an answer. Just when I wanted to ask again, I was turned and I was stuck in the grip of the other person.

"I could ask you the same question" said a female voice. Now that I took a closer look it was indeed a woman. She had her dark hair in a bun. Slowly a smile appeared on my face. I was right! It was a hunter. I never crossed path with one before. Beside Sam and Dean I didn't know any other hunters. I laid my head on the wooden floor and closed my eyes. For a moment I had felt a hint of panic. But I'm in good hands, or well good hands. It could have been worse.

"why are you laughing? Last time I checked there was nothing to laugh about" said the woman. I felt the barrel of her glock to my forehead. "just give me one good reason to not kill you right now. After all you are disturbing my hunt." I opened my eyes as she said this and looked at her.

"because I can be of great use" I said confidently. She snickered and pushed the gun a little harder against my forehead.

"How can you ever be useful to me?" she said mockingly. I sighed and shook my head.
