Chapter 2

"So Joyce.....I think that its time me and your mother start telling you the truth....you know....about our work" He says sounding very concerned. "Dad....don't you think its time that maybe I should talk to other people...make...friends?" I asked him and backed up only a little afraid he    will be mad.
   " Oh Harley! " my dad calls to my mom,who quickly runs upstairs to us." Yes Puddin'? " She smiles brightly at him. "Joyce here....would like to go out in the City to meet new people and make friends....How do u feel about that Harley?" He was looking at me and I could tell he was laughing inside. "Joyce if that's really what you want I got the perfect place for you to go...." She smiled at me and at my Father. "Harley...do you mean..." "Yes puddin'! The Gotham Rockville High!" She smiled at me so brightly I thought she was gonna explode! "Mom....that's the best school in Gotham! Can I really go?" I became really happy inside but...then I remembered..... ....Batman was one of the teachers. This normally wouldnt have been a problem but...well...my dad just cant stand him...my dad and batman...They would never be able to get along... even if their lives depended on it. They must not know Batman is a teacher there...if they did...I definitely wouldn't be going. My Dad pulled me aside and told me he would train me.
    The next day, I rushed around my room getting on my clothes, a short Green and white Dress. Then I was trying to grab a few notebooks and pens. I kissed my mom goodbye and hugged my dad and walked outside for...maybe the first time in my life...I could smell the....amazing smell of Gotham. I was finally on my way to somewhere I never imagined I would go....or that my parents would let me   go to.
