Chapter 14

I looked at them both and tried to stop the bleeding on Roberts leg...I guess His wounds from my dad re opened or something. I waited for a while and neither of them woke up yet...it was a little worrying...I never realized how dirty the hallway looked till now..it was gross. There were rats all over the place and dirt on the floor. "ugh...ow...my head..." William got up and Looked around...he seemed to be aware of what happened when he looked over at Robert then at me. "Joyce... Oh my goodness are you OK? Is he OK?" He said and looked at me then Robert again. "I'm fine Will...Robert should be fine too....but his wound opened and he is bleeding again...do you know how this happened?..." I said and hoped he could tell me what happened. "Yeah...Yeah...Your mom...I don't know... it happened really fast but she hit Robert in the leg and I guess it caused a lot of pain cause he fell on his knees then she knocked him out...that's why I yelled...Then she knocked me out too I guess..." He said and didn't take his eyes off the blood seeping through Roberts jeans. "Roberts dad...Robin...he went to get supplies and Batman got my mom and dad into arkham...they won't be out anytime soon...I havent seen robin for a while...Maybe I should go find him..." I said then got up. "Joyce...wait what about Robert.." He said. "Yeah..Just...Just put the cloth on his leg and put pressure on it... hopefully he will stop bleeding..I'll be back soon." I went and tried to find robin...then I saw a body...probably left by the crazy people in this town. In the next room a light was on so I went in and it was filled with supplies. "Oh...Joyce! Perfect time! Could you carry some supplies?" He said and put some of the supplies down. "Yes...definitely but Roberts leg is bleeding and he is still out...Shouldnt we hurry..." I said and walked out the door before he said anything else. He followed me of course. "OK Joyce..You help William... he seems less badly injured..." Robin said and I went to help William. He only had a headache from being hit by my mom....so I gave him medicine and he was fine. We weren't allowed to go into the room when robin took Robert in to help him. "So...Uh...What's new with you?" I said to William awkwardly trying to start a conversation. I wanted to just talk about something other then my parents but that was pretty much impossible. "Actually...How long have you and Rob been friends? I never thought to ask." I said, thinking that was a better conversation to have. "Well...Ever since we were about 2...Our Father's Just one day brought us to the park at the same time and we played action figures together....Been friends ever since..." He said but then looked upset. "What's wrong Will?" I said and felt it was my fault. "Nothing...I just never realized how long we have been friends...We're like brothers me and him... its just crazy how long its been.." He said and smiled.

"OK....you two can come in but then we all need to leave so that Robert can rest at home" Robin came out and said to us. "Robert are you...Oh nevermind" William started to ask if he was OK then he realized he was still passed out. I turned to him and laughed a bit, he laughed too. "Guess we should go..." I said and looked at Robert then William. "Joyce...where are you gonna go? you can't go back to your house...cops are probably there cleaning it out since..." "I know Will...I'm not sure where I'm gonna go...I'll figure it out...don't worry about me" I said and smiled. That was the last time I saw either of them.

A few weeks later...

I walked around Gotham and then it crossed my mind that I hadn't went back to school and I only saw my friends once in awhile. I saw Marissa Stealing stuff and we waved and smiled to each other but didn't talk. I kind of wondered what happened to William and Robert and where they were...I looked at the time and i saw school was starting in an hour. I thought for a while and then a homeless man walked by.  I saw him and he seemed scared by me...sadly most people knew about me...you know...jokers daughter... "Dangerous lunatic like her father". That couldn't be more wrong. I  walked to the school and I stood outside for a while, still thinking if I wanted to go in or not. "Joyce...Your here...Omg I missed you! I heard asphodel and saw her running towards me. We hugged and I told her the important things that happened and we talked until the bell rang. We walked in and I guess everyone didn't expect me to be there cause they all looked at me and then all my friends got up and came over to me. I looked over and Robert and William were still sitting down. I pushed walked past my other friends and sat down in the desk between them. "Guys? Are you OK?" I looked at them both feeling bad and like they were mad at me. "Joyce...we missed you... where have you been? What have you been doing?" William said. Robert seemed so quiet for some reason. "I missed you guys too....I have been just getting used to being on my own is all....Getting food...the important things." I said and smiled after looking at all my friends. "So Rob... how are you doing ?" I turned to Robert. "Well...uh...Will...can I talk to you....now..." He said and got up walking quickly to the halls. William looked back at me and shrugged. I watched him go out and remembered what happened last time they did that. I knew that wouldn't happen again of coarse but still it was worrying judging by what the three of us have been through. They came back about 15 minutes later... I wondered what took so long. "J-Joyce...Will...will you go out with me?" Robert said and looked so nervous....it was cute though. "Yes I will" I smiled and said as he grabbed me by the hands. We kissed then we ran to his house and broke the news to his parents... I wished I could Tell my parents but...You know how they are...we all do.
