After what felt like an eternity the last lecture of the day finally came to an end. Yn slumped on her seat, looking visibly tired but relieved as she could finally be home and rest.
"I'm bored." "Let's go somewhere? My treat" Jungkook suggested as it has been a long time since they had a day out together. Jimin sitting on the desk beside him agreed along. "I'm always ready for these stuffs so don't even bother asking me"
Jungkook turned to Yn as she's unusually quiet for someone who used to be on front line when it came to group outings.
"No. I'm not going anywhere." She spoke making both Jimin and Jungkook look at her in amusement. "What happened? Are you not feeling well?" Jungkook asked.
"I'm fine. I just.. don't want to waste any more time" She added exhaling sharply as she looked at them apologetically for not joining them. "Finals are close and I want to focus on studies without any distractions"
Both of the boy's eyes widened as they couldn't believe the fact that, out of all people, these words are coming from Yn.
"Com'n Yn. It's just one evening" Jimin insisted, not wanting to leave her out. Jungkook nodded along but Yn had made her mind. "I don't wanna procrastinate more"
Yn gathered her stuff preparing to leave but she paused seeing a notification which pop up in her phone thirty minutes ago. It was a text from Taehyung.
"I have to attend a dinner with colleagues. Go home. Don't wait for me"
Yn read the text silently, taking a few seconds before reacting. "Dinner with colleagues?" She mumbled to herself with a knitted brows as she realized that meant she have to head home alone.
"How long would it take?" She typed out a response tapping her fingers on the desk impatiently to get a reply back quickly.
Meanwhile, Jungkook and jimin decided to drop their plan as Yn wouldn't join them. "It's okay. We'll go some other day" Jimin assured Jungkook as they got up to leave but waited for Yn.
She stood up with her bag hung sideway as she walked out with them while being focused on her phone.
After a while when Taehyung didn't responded. Yn decided to call him. After a few rings he received the call.
"Where are you? Why aren't you replying to my messages?" She complained.
Meanwhile, Taehyung was driving his car. He wasn't alone. His four colleague professors were also present in the car as he drove to where they decided to dine in. Taehyung simply decided to attend it to maintain his social commitments as his colleagues insisted.
Taehyung had his ear phones on as he heard the subtle irritation in her tone. He replied calmly in a low tone so that the other people in the car wouldn't listen as they were busy talking to each other.
