9) First Ultrasound

"Today's the day !" Harry whispers in your ear softly "mmmmmm" you croak surfacing out from your sleep . "Babe...." he whispers again with his low morning voice into your ear ! "....Or should I say Mommy" . You smile at the word mommy and roll onto your back to face your favorite person. "Daddy's in an excited mood this morning isn't he? " you whisper back with a sleepy smirk ! "He definitely is ! Today's the day we finally get to see our Little Peanut ! " you beam with pride at his excitement!

A few hours later, you and Harry were waiting anxiously in the waiting room, after filling out all the necessary paper work. Harry was fumbling anxiously through a Baby mag that lay on the side table beside him ...He was reading an article called "Baby Business".

"Babe , check here..." He nudged you pointing at the article. "....It says here that round about now Little Peanut is already developing and is the size of a blueberry !! " You smiled gazing at the article with a 3D picture of what Peanut should look like

"Mr and Mrs Styles , the Professor will see you now " A friendly voice echoed in the background .

You and Harry began walking in the direction of the receptionist's gesture.
Harry grabbed your hand and lead you into the room.  "Mrs Styles , please have a seat on the bed , Professor will be with you in a moment !" the nurse smiled as she left the room.
Harry stood beside you , gazing and daydreaming out the window with a subtle smile on his face.
"Good afternoon Mr & Mrs Styles" said a calm deep voice. "I am Professor Green, I will be sharing this adventure with you throughout your pregnancy !" Professor Green was a mature man , around mid-50s , not too old but not too young . He was definitely experienced enough with knowledge to match his age. At face value, he looked like the man you wanted around when it came to the crunch.

"Good afternoon Professor , please , call me Harry & this is my wife Y/N" said Harry extending his hand to shake the Professor's hand , followed by yours doing the same. "It's very good to meet you" you smiled warmly .

You had a short discussion between the 3 of you , about general things and things about your symptoms and how you have been feeling. "Well , let's not keep you both waiting anxiously ! Let have a look and see what's going on in there shall we?" Smiled Professor Green as he prepared you for you scan.

Harry stood by your side and squeezed your hand in anticipation. You glanced up at him to see him glaring at the ultrasound screen with sheer concentration. Your heart was racing with excitement! This was really happening!
"Judging from what I can see here on the report , I'd say you're about 7 weeks along Y/N .... your baby is roughly the size of a blueberry right now , soon to be a healthy grape in the next 2 weeks!" He chuckled. "Let's have a look inside though to confirm!" Professor Green flicked a switch on the control panel as he placed the ultrasound wand on your exposed tummy. The jelly was cold and smooth as the Professor slid the wand around pressing down on your lower abdomen "Yup, just as I suspected ! A healthy little Blueberry right there!" He smiled pointing to a little round blob on the screen , showing you and  Harry your baby. "Holy shit Harry!" You gasp as your eyes widen and you sit up as much as you can to get a clearer look . Tears began to run down your cheeks and you looked at Harry. He was smiling the biggest smile you'd ever seen on his face as he leant down to kiss you "Harry that's our Baby!" You tug on his arm with excitement as the tears continued to run.
"Would you like to hear his or her heartbeat ?" Asked Professor Green. "Definitely! Please Professor!" Harry said quickly with great anticipation. Professor Green flicked another switch on the control panel and within an instance a fast beating rhythm echoed throughout the room! Harry and you gasped ! You could not believe it ! "That's our baby Y/N!" Harry said leaning down again to place a lingering tender kiss on your forehead. "Your baby is developing right on schedule Mr & Mrs Styles and everything looks perfectly healthy and perfect! Both Mommy and Baby! I'll take a shot of this for you folks and print you a few copies to take for yourself and loved ones ! I'll give you 5 minutes alone. " Professor Green smiled at the two of you with an acknowledging nod before leaving the room.

"Harry! I can't believe it! Theres an actual baby in there right now ! They're the most beautiful thing Iv ever seen!" You said softly as Harry wheeled the chair to sit beside you. "It's all just become so real hasn't it Babe?" Smiled Harry as he placed a kiss on your hand he was holding. "I love you so much Y/N! Thank you for the most unbelievable gift a man could ask for ! Not only am I Blessed to be married to my best friend and most important person in my life ,but now, I am lucky enough to start a Whole Family with the strongest most beautiful woman in the whole world! You're going to be such an incredible Mom Y/N and I love you so much!" You noticed a tear escape Harry's eye and roll down his cheek. You smiled and pulled him in for a kiss. "I am the one who's Blessed and there's no where else I'd rather be than in this moment with you! " you gleamed.

On the drive home, you couldn't stop looking at the scan pictures as your hand rested protectively near your belly. "I can't wait to show everyone our handsome little Blueberry!" Harry chuckled with pride to you ....You couldn't help but burst into laughter.

In that moment, You could not imagine life any more perfect than this !
