After presents we all piled up into our cars and drove to a nearby club just in the outskirts of town. I honestly hated clubs because of how crowded they are and the amount of thirsty intoxicated men made me want to puke. The only reason why this was such a good idea was because Blaire turned 21 and she wanted to come. I haven't drunk much because of what happened my senior year of high school but I hate being the buzzkill of a party so I normally have a drink or two at social events.

When we entered the club, there was several drunk people dancing lazily on the dance floor and bright lights danced across the painted walls. Everyone broke up into smaller groups and went either, to the bar or to the dance floor to socialize. I lost Blaire and Kitty so I walked up to the bartender and asked for a beer. He told me the types they had and I picked the one I was most familiar with. He walked away before coming back with a cold beer in his right hand. I handed him the money and took a sip out of the cold glass. The alcohol burnt the back of my throat and brought back bad memories but I was hoping that it would numb the pit of anxiety in my stomach. As I continued to sip on my drink, I looked over and saw some guy hitting on Blaire. She looked frustrated and had a hint of fear glistening in her brown orbs. I decided to get up and walk over to her to see if she was okay. "Is there a problem over here?" I asked looking at the guy. He looked me up and down while a hint of lust showed in his brown eyes. "No problem, sweetie. Well, there might be one, your friend won't cooperate." I felt like I was going to puke at the thought of this man's intentions. Blaire looked sickened and decided to speak up. "Sorry but she's mine, pig." The guy looked at her with disgust as is she was a dead fly on a window sill . "If there's one thing I can't stand, its homosexuals." He began to walk away to the nearest group of girls before Blaire stopped him. "Well if there is one thing I can't stand, its guys who can't keep their meat in their pants." She nearly screamed at the, now agitated, man. He looked back at us with fire in his eyes and began to walk to the exit of the establishment.

The rest of the night went better than I thought it would and I actually had a fun time. When we were about to leave, Kitty and Blaire had to go to the restroom so I sat in the nearest seat. Within two minutes of sitting there, an attractive guy came and sat sown across from me. "Hello, my name is Jake. You looked a little lonely so I thought I would come over and say hi." He put his fingers through his soft brown hair. "Oh. Hello. I'm Jenn. I'm just waiting on my friends to get back from the bathroom but thanks for coming over and talking to me." He smiled and grabbed a napkin from off the table only to start writing a number on it. "Well Jenn, here's my number. You should text me sometime and maybe we could hang out." I reached over and grabbed the napkin from his hand. "Yeah, Okay. I will do that. See you around." I excused myself and walked over to the bathroom to see Kitty and Blaire come out. "Ready to go", I said grabbing my intoxicated friends' arms. They giggled and nodded their heads while I dragged them out of the club and into the car. One more week till the concert, I can't wait.
