(4 hours later)
It was now 1:00 am. Courteney was cleaning up the house. Everybody had left.
Matthew walked back in because he had forgotten his christmas gift that Lisa had given him.
He heard Jen and Court talking in the kitchen.
*Jen*
"I swear, he looked like he wanted to kiss me or something. I'm telling you, he has never looked at me like that!"Matty knew she was talking about him. He suddenly played there conversation back in his head, realizing how stupid he must have sounded.
*Court*
"What did he say exactly?"*Jen*
"He was saying how he wished he had a girl like me, and how beautiful I looked, and it was, wierd? Ya know?"*Court*
"He probably just missed you, he hasn't seen you in a year. Or maybe cuz its the holidays, and he's getting lonely. He's never been married ya know."*Jen*
"I know, but i dont think thats it. He did say he was lonely. But still, we are such good friends, this kinda stuff doesn't happen between friends, does it? I mean you and him are even better friends than us, has he ever done this to you?"*Court*
"To be honest, no. No he hasn't. When he does, its always in a friendly way. I mean thats all I think he's doing to you, just being friendly, but hey, i wasn't there."*Jen*
"It definetly wasn't just friendly."Matty had heard there whole conversation. He felt like an idiot. Just then he walked into the kitchen with the girls.
*court*
"Hey, what are you still doing here?"*Matty*
"Oh I just came back to get my gift from Lisa. Do you know where it is?"Courteney had set it on the counter by her fridge, she handed it to him.
*Matty*
"Thanks!"He gave a friendly smile to Courteney, but didnt even look towards Jen.
As soon as he walked out of the house, the girls continued.
*court*
"He didnt even look at you!"*Jen*
"Maybe he didnt see me?"*Court*
"Oh please. He knew you were there. I'm just saying, i dont think he's hinting at anything."*Jen*
"Ok, ok, yeah, maybe your right. I just... I just dont know."
