An unexpected love

Should we get married? (Part 1)

(One Sunday night in early November, 2015)

Matt invited Matty and David over to watch the Sunday night football game and have a few beers.

During a commercial, Matt got up to grab another beer for everyone.

*matt*
"So Matty, how are things going with you and Jen?" He was over in the kitchen.

*Matty*
"Good! Really good actually! I was thinking, maybe sometime soon, I would propose?"

Matt slammed the fridge door shut and david set his beer down, they both looked at Matty.

*Matty*
I know we haven't even been dating for a year, but dammit im 46! And she's almost 47! I think nows a good time! Shes just finishing up a movie and I'm not doing anything for a while, its perfect! And she's always wanted a summer wedding, and if i propose now, that gives us long enough for us to plan it, to have it in summer."

Matt walked over to him. At first he looked really mad/surprised.

*Matt*
"Stand up" he sounded intense. He sounded like he wanted to slap some sense into matty. Matty stood up anyway. But he just gave him a hug.

*matt*
"Im so happy for you guys!"

*david*
"Wow! This is great! Congratulations man!"
