*Recap*
I was still up in Erica’s room fixing my make up when she ran up almost hysterical.
"You have to come down, NOW!" With that she turned and ran back down giving me no time to respond.
I got up from her mirror and started my way down the steps when a familiar voice stopped me midway down.
Oh no...It can't be.
A sudden feeling of uneasiness overwhelmed me, as I slowly headed down the remaining steps.
As I hit the bottom step I landed with a thud, causing everyone in the living room to turn their head in my direction.
“Hey, Abigail."
Sucker punch to the gut.
My face got hot as a tall, well built, shaggy, dark haired boy smiled and gave a little wave to me.
"Um, Hi, Jake."

I sat in the same white, leather chair that I had earlier. The room was quiet for the most part. Terry and Erica were sitting on the couch holding hands making cow eyes at each other here and there.
I was playing with my thumbs subconsciously. Jake was sitting across me in the old black recliner chair.
It was to quiet.... someone needed to break the silence, and I kept telling myself I wouldn't be the one to do it.
I almost gave in when Jake started to say something.
"So..."
Everyone looked at him. He shook his head, "Never mind."
I glanced over at Erica. Once she made eye contact I shot her a ' What the heck,' look. Almost immediately she found the remote next to her on the lamp stand and flipped the TV on.
"Let's see if there’s anything good on." She through the remote at me unexpectedly, just barely missing my face as I jerked to the side.
"Thanks oh so much for the warning, love." I gave her a look and she smiled.
"Expect the unexpected." She smirked a little looking from me to Jake.
"No! You can't say that, that’s my thing." I picked up a small couch pillow that was next to me and dodged it at her as she looked at Terry.
The mood seemed to be getting lighter for me.
She let out a squeal and started busting out laughing. "Oh really now?" She raised her eyebrow.
She picked the same pillow up and threw it back.
"You bet," I winked at her and stood up with the remote in one hand and the pillow in another. I started flipping through channels and turned to throw the pillow at her when my target switched to Jake.
He was sitting there chuckling a bit when his eyes met mine and his expression changed. His eyes widened and his hands flew over his head. "NO!" He yelled.
"Oh, yes." I smiled mischievously.
I walked over to him and wacked him in the shoulder with it. He was laughing as I hit him again.
I went in for a third hit when he grabbed my wrists. Not hard, but enough to restrain my hands from the pillow.
He looked up at me still laughing. I dropped the pillow.
