Cool green grass, squished between my toes as I ran through the big vacant field just outside my neighborhood. I couldn't help but laugh at how free I felt.

My dark hair flowed behind me.

"Abigail, wait up!" The familiar voice gave my stomach little butterflies.

Jake.

I smiled and turned around, stopping.

He walked up to me, and smiled looking into me with his deep green eyes.

His arms ran around my waist as mine wrapped around his neck. We stood there smiling at each other.

He took his hand and brushed my hair around my ear.

I lifted my head up and closed my eyes as his lips fell gently on mine. I pulled him in closer and ran my fingers across the back of his head.

Could this be any more perfect?

I opened my eyes, and jerked back.

Alec?

What???

Alec?

I was just kissing Jake.

What's going on?

"Where's Jake?" I looked past Alec and over my shoulder searching for Jake.

Nothing.

His face twisted into an odd expression.

"Gone."

My heart dropped a beat. I could feel my blood pressure increase with anger.

"What do you mean gone?" I asked through clamped teeth.

He pulled me close to him.

My arms swung out in front of me landing on his chest, prohibiting him any closer.

"Alec, where is Jake?"

He let his hand slip to my hip as he tried to move closer.

"He had to go. I'm here now babe."

He smiled and grabbed my wrist with his free hand.

My heart picked up speed.

I need to get away from him. Fast.

"Alec, leave! I don't need you or even want you! I need Jake!" I Ttempted to free my hand only to have him get ahold of both. His grip tightened.

" Oh no you don't. You arn't leaving, neither am I. I love you, remember?"

I started to get a nauseating feeling in my gut.

" And I know you love me." His grin had a devilish touch to it. His amber eyes burned into me.

" No Alec, I don't love you. LET ME GO!!!" I swung my leg hard into his shin. As he dropped to the ground yelping in pain, he shoved me to the ground.

It knocked the wind out of me. I gasped for air but my oxygen intake was cut short as Alex through himself onto of me. His knee pressed down into my abdomen right below the sternum of my ribs. His hand made it's way to my face Nd begun to stroke it gently.

"I love you Abby."

I looked away from him and tried to wiggle free.

"I said, I love you!" His hand jerked my head straight.

"Say it back!"

My eyes began to swell with tears as I avoided eye contact.

" NO!" I shouted. My lungs were aching from lack of air.

"Say it!" His hand shot down to my neck. I grabbed his arm trying to pry myself free.

"NO!" I spat on his face. I was beginning to feel weak.

" Jake. . . I need Jake. . . " my gasps shortened as he applied pressure.

Tears flowed down my face.

Jake....

" Abs, Abby!"

I gasped for air as my eyes shot open, making contact with Erica. Her hands rested on my shoulders.

I sat up and wrapped my arms around her as the tears streamed my face. My body heaved with each sob.

Her hand stroked my hair caringly.

" It's okay, it's okay, your fine Abby." She pulled me back and made eye contact. Her hand went up to wipe a tear a way. I rubbed my eyes and sniffled a little.

She looked at me concerned.

" Alec, it was Alec." My hands dropped to my side and I let out a deep sigh.

The sobs began to soften.

Erica didn't say anything. There wasn't much to say. She knew what he put me through when we were together. We both knew he had moved to the other side of the states when he got caught. The possibility of his return was zero to none.

I stood up and took a deep breath in.

As crazy as it seemed, all I wanted was to see Jake, to talk to him.

"This is crazy Erica," My hand ran through the short side of my hair.

The same expression plastered onto her face.

" It's okay Abby, Alec got what he deserved. You don't need to be worried about him coming back, it's not happening."

I looked at her and smirked.

" That's not what I'm worried about this second." I walked over to her window and looked down towards Jake's house.

"What?" Her head tilted slightly. "What then?"

" I need to talk to Jake." I turned and looked at her straight faced.

I could tell she was some what lost as to why.

" I need to tell him. He needs to know whether we're just friends, more or nothing."

She nodded understanding.

I walked over and flopped on her bed.

"Soon."

It was quiet in the room.

"I need to get changed."
