"Come on you guys!" Oliver whined during lunch, "Stop giving each other the silent treatment." We were all having lunch at the cafeteria and Oscar and I have been giving each other the silent treatment. Claire sighed out loud and took a bite out of her fish and chips, "You know, guys, it's getting increasingly uncomfortable here and Beth said that she was sorry,"
"Yeah sure, take her side." Oscar mumbled, I snapped my head up and glared at him, "I heard that, you prick!"
Oscar banged his fist on the table, "Why can't you understand that it's more than just the football team here, you're working with the biggest jerk on the entire planet!" His eyes turned dark.
"And why can't you understand that I'm doing this for my dad's sake! You know how pushy he can be and if I told him about any of this, he's just going to think that it's childish!" I whisper-yelled, so that we wouldn't attract any attention.
"Fine," He clenched his jaw, "But you'll have to promise me that you won't tell him ANYTHING about our football team,"
"Really, Oz? After all these years of friendship?" I argued back, "You don't trust me at all?"
"Well you did hide this away from me!"
"I said that I was going to tell you! I was just waiting for the right time!"
"Is there a problem here?" Sloane appeared out of nowhere as she placed her hands on Oscar's shoulders, she tilted her head and rolled her eyes at me.
"No, babe. Nothing," Oscar softened as he rubbed her hands softly.
"Okay great, so are you going to come over to our table or what?" She smiled and kissed his cheek.
"Yeah I'll be there in a minute,"
Sloane walked off but not before glaring at me as she walked over to her group of friends. Oliver was resisting his urge of wanting to show the middle finger at his younger brother's girlfriend. Despite the fact that Sloane was loved by her friends and Oscar, she never really did manage to be friends with either of us. Oliver hated her with all his might and seemed to ignore her everytime she went over to his place, it was obvious, even to Oscar but the latter chose to ignore the fact that his brother hated his girlfriend.
"Beth?" He pleaded, this time, "Just promise that you'll stay away from the guy, he's nothing but trouble."
I sighed, "Fine, but I'm going to emphasize here that it's all pure business."
"Okay." He picked his tray up and walked towards the other table where Shane and Sloane were at.
Oliver groaned, "I don't understand what he sees in Slow, she's a bitch."
"Now, now, Oli. Language." Claire poked his cheek, as she looked at the cool kids table. Even though we were friends with Oscar, our group never really mixed with the other group because well, Sloane and Brooke never really did welcome us.
"Whatever," He huffed and munched on his food. At the same time, Aubrey Callum – the president for the Archery Club passed by our tables, she snorted at the way Oliver was eating his food.
"What?" He spat in disgust as she looked at him.
"Nothing," She shrugged, "I've always knew that you would resort to eating like a hooligan,"
Claire laughed and accidentally spit her orange juice out at me, I cringed – "Ew! Claire!"
"Sorry, that was funny though," Claire looked at me apologetically.
"Fuck off," Oliver retorted and Aubrey walked away but not before flipping her hair and sticking her chin up at him.
"Boy," I looked at Oliver, "You guys really do hate each other huh?"
