Classes ended early for the day and the teachers had some meeting with the principal. Claire and I were at the bicycle racks waiting for the guys, Ben ran up towards us and high fived Claire while Oliver walked out with his guitar and a few freshmen girls following him from behind and we knew that Oscar would be joining us later after his football team meeting or practice or whatever.

"Ready for Jimmys?" Oliver pumped his fist up in the air, Jimmys is this milkshake place where the five of us would often hang out and the owner – Jimmy (Hence, the name of the place) was pretty friendly and nice to us.

I laughed but Claire didn't, she hit Oliver's head and smiled sarcastically – "Let's go before your girly girls start eating you up,"

Oliver shrugged, "I wouldn't mind, only some of them are hot." I grumbled – "Ugh, Oli!"

"Okay guys, stop stalling time because I'm fucking hungry!" Ben whined and got onto his bike. I got onto mine and we waited for the other two to get onto theirs as well.

We cycled on the bicycle lane and reached Jimmys café in five minutes since it was near the school, I parked my bike and locked it at the bicycle racks. I entered the café and sat down at the table near the window – Claire sat right next to me and we wrote a list on what drinks we wanted to order since we had to go to the counter and order ourselves. Once we've made our list, I got up and went to the counter to make our order.

"Hey Jimmy!" I greeted happily, and passed him the piece of paper. Jimmy smiled at me, "Hey, Beth – how's the first day of school?"

"It's great!" I replied, "Oreo milkshakes for Oli and I, one Tropical shake for Benny and your special Vanilla shake for Claire," I smiled and handed in the money to Jimmy

Jimmy keyed in our order and looked at me; he thought for a few seconds and told me to wait as he went into the office to check the employees' book. Thank goodness there weren't many customers at the time or Jimmy would not have been able to accommodate to my request.

I heard the main doorbell ring as someone entered the café, I turned my head and I see Oscar who was grinning awkwardly, "Sorry I'm a little bit late – Coach made us stay for a few minutes," He ruffled his hair still having that stupid grin on his face.

I took a look at my watch and scowled at my best friend, "You twat, don't take me for an idiot – Coach Finn doesn't make you stay that long,"

"Fine, I was with Sloane after that but hey! I'm here now!"

I rolled my eyes, "Just go sit with the rest, I'll order another shake for you."

"Thanks Bethy, you're the best!" He hugged me tight which caused me to cringe, "Ewww, get off me!"

"Right," Oscar laughed and walked towards our table.

"BETH! WHERE ARE OUR DRINKS!" Ben yelled at me, I glared at him – "Shut up, Benny I'm bringing it!" I took the tray off the counter and headed towards our table.

"Coach Finn wants us to double our practice for the next few months," Oscar grumbled, "I love football and everything but if it wasn't for last year's game, we wouldn't be under that much pressure."

Claire pointed out in an irritated tone, "You complain too much, Oz," She smiled and thanked me for bringing her milkshake.

"Yeah sue me for complaining too much. It was a tough game last year," Oscar rolled his eyes and stuck his tongue out at Claire who did the same thing back at him.

"Didn't you guys have a huge fight with the players from Paramount after the game?" Ben asked as he stirred his shake.

Oliver nodded, "Oz got so mad at that quarterback from Paramount High because he injured Oz's knee,"
