Things between Dustin and I got better after that record store incident, he started listening more during tutor sessions and we actually had real conversations instead of groans and eye rolls. Edna made us cinnamon rolls that afternoon, and I had a blast eating it – cinnamon rolls were one of my favourite pastries.

Dustin cringed at me as I ate it, I shot a dirty look at him and moved the plate away from him – "You don't get any unless you're done with that set of questions,"

"I'm almost done anyway," He tried to snatch a cinnamon roll from the plate since his hands were long enough to reach it but my hands were fast enough to move it even further.

"No." I insisted and pointed to the set of questions.

"Fine," He gave up and started doing the questions and I averted my attention back to my sociology assignment which I am supposed to hand in next week.

Before I could finish typing a paragraph, I looked up and I saw Dustin sneaking towards the cinnamon rolls.

"HEY!" I yelled, I tried to stop him but it was already in his mouth, "Dustin!" I stood up and placed both my hands on the side of my hips.

Dustin started laughing once he finished chewing on the cinnamon roll, "Alright, alright. I'll finish it now,"

I rolled my eyes and sat back down, continuing on with my assignment. Once he was done he gave it to me and I marked them casually, "You know Dustin if you don't rush into finding the answers, you might actually score well," I sighed and gave him back his paper.

"Stop trying to rush to look for the answers, take it slow and steady while you're applying the formulas. It's not like you don't know them, you just tend to take shortcuts to get the answers when you don't even know the proper way to do it,"

Dustin looked at me and smirked, "Being wise ey?"

"I'm being serious." I slapped his arm and he winced, "Hey, one punch was enough the other day."

I broke into a smile, "Okay I'm done with my assignment and we're done for today. I'm going to ride my bike back home,"

The both of us reached the Lambert's garage as I got my bike out of the garage and mounted on my bike.

"I don't get it, you're loaded as hell why don't you just get a car?" Dustin asked.

I wasn't at all shocked from Dustin's questions, infact I have been getting that question all my life – from Oliver, Claire and Oscar. Ben and I made a pact that we wouldn't get our own car till college but that doesn't mean I don't have a drivers licence. As a matter of fact, I only drive when my mum needs me to or else I'll just use my bike to get to wherever I need, I was more comfortable using my bike anyway.

"I have always preferred cycling I guess, it saves a lot of petrol you know," I pointed out and snickered.

"Won't you fall?"

"And you don't when you play football?" I shot back.

"Well..." He paused to think about my question, "I guess so." He shrugged, "But it isn't the same thing. These things aren't balanced!"

"Yes it is! I cycle it perfectly fine!"

"Doubt it,"

I gasped and my eyes widened, "Dustin Lambert, don't tell me you don't – " I paused to laugh.

"What?" He spat.

"You don't know how to ride a bike do you!" I laughed even harder as I got off my bike and held onto it.
