Splatter's POV

For the next twenty minutes, I set out to hand out the chocolate to everyone in the mansion, except for Smile Dog and Grinny of course. I had met everyone in the mansion at this point, and I must admit, some of them were incredibly fascinating.

Sally was a young eight year old child, she wore a bloodstained pink nightdress that was torn a bit at the edges. She had long wavy brown hair and bright green eyes. She had a couple of red streaks across her face as well. She carried around a brown teddy bear that she had named Charlie. She had happily accepted a box of malt balls.

Eyeless Jack, nicknamed EJ, was a man with dark grey skin and chestnut brown hair. He wore a blue mask with two holes that revealed his empty black sockets, which oozed a thick black goo. He wore a black hoodie, black jeans, and black gloves. I learned that he was in fact a cannibal, and he preferred to eat kidneys, but loved all organs. He said he wasn't very fond of normal food, but chocolate seemed to be an exception, for he accepted a small chocolate bar.

Laughing Jack, nicknamed LJ, was a monochrome clown. He had messy black hair, white skin, silver eyes, sharp teeth, a black and white striped outfit, and a striped cone nose. He appeared to be twenty-one years of age, but, to my astonishment, he was actually a little over two hundred years old! He too was a candy lover, and accepted a couple of chocolate covered pretzel sticks.

One person I really found interesting was a boy named BEN Drowned. He looked like Link from the Legend of Zelda games, but his eyes were pitch black save for his blood red pupils, and he had blood streaming from his eyes. He had drowned when he was a child, and now haunted a certain Zelda game called Majora's Mask. He politely declined the chocolate, he couldn't eat since he was a ghost.

And possibly the most exotic of them all was a man called Jason the Toymaker. He had long maroon hair, bright turquoise eyes, appeared to be about twenty years of age, and wore a red and black vest with white fur on the shoulders and a white top hat. Like me, he was fairly new to the mansion. He was very cheerful, and his voice was a bit high pitched and was a bit raspy, but I like him nonetheless. He had happily accepted a box of chocolate raisins, and had promised to make me a stuffed toy as thanks.

Now, I was sitting on the couch, humming happily as I doodled on a blank piece of paper I had found. Neon was on the other side of the couch with Smile sleeping on her lap. I was taking Jeff's advice and didn't bother her, but I honestly don't know how she could ever get to know me if we just ignored each other.

As for what I was drawing, it was a cartoon scene of Jeff and I in the chocolate store. He was eating a bar of chocolate while watching with amusement as I swan dived into a huge chocolate fountain. I was only just finishing up the sketch, and would need to try to find a black pen or marker soon so I could make it more defined.

"Whatcha drawing?"

I jumped slightly at the sound of Neon's voice. I glanced over at her, her gaze was still fixed on Smile. "I-I'm drawing Jeff and I at the chocolate store," I said a bit awkwardly. "Would you like to see it?"

She looked up at me. "Sure," She said.

I held up the sketch so that she could see it, and she nodded in approval. "Not bad," she said.

"You wouldn't happen to know where I could find a black pen, would you?" I asked.

She paused, then reached into her pocket and pulled out a black ball point pen. "Keep it," she said as she handed it to me.

I smiled slightly. "Thanks," I said.

I then began going over the sketch to make it more defined. Just as I finished drawing Jeff's bangs, a shadow suddenly loomed over me. I looked up only to, ironically, come face-to-face with Slender. "Hi, Slender," I greeted him.

"Hello, child," he 'said'. "I have a few things I must speak to you about."

I nodded. "I'm listening," I said.

"First off, I would like to inform you that you will be sharing a room with Jason," He said. "He seems to be fond of you. Second, I need to make sure that you have some way to defend yourself in case you ever get into a situation in which you must fight. Therefore, Neon shall mentor you."

"WHAT?!" Neon shouted, jumping up.

I glanced over at her, feeling the blood drain from my face. Great, the one person who didn't like me was going to teach me how to fight. I'm going to die.

"I'm sure that you'll be alright, child," Slender assured me, he had obviously read my thoughts. He then turned to Neon. "You are not to purposely harm her in any way, do I make myself clear?" He asked.

Neon glanced at me, her eyes blazing with such fury that I flinched slightly. Finally, she sighed and crossed her arms.

"Fine, I'll teach her how to fight," She agreed.

"Wonderful," Slender said, obviously pleased. "Now, off to bed with the both of you, it's getting late."

And with that, he disappeared into thin air. Neon glared at me again. "Lessons start tomorrow," she growled. "And I expect you to be outside by six am."

Then she spun around and stomped up the stairs. I watched her leave with a sinking feeling in my chest. This was going to be a disaster, I could barely win a fist fight, let alone a knife fight.

I sighed in dread and slowly ascended the stairs, then shuffled my way down the hallway. Each of the oak doors had a plaque on them that had the names of those who occupied them. I passed Masky and Hoodie's room, Jeff and Laughing Jack's room, BEN Drowned and Eyeless Jack's room, then finally came to Jason's room, which was now also mine. I lifted my hand and knocked twice.

"Who's there?" Jason sang from inside the room.

"It's me, Splatter," I replied, trying not to sound upset.

"Splatter who?" Jason sang.

"Splatter Dash, your roommate," I replied.

"Hehe! I know," he giggled. "Come on in, Doll. It's alright."

Doll? That was a bit of an odd nickname in my opinion, but I guess it made sense considering that he makes toys. I opened the door, my eyes widened in awe as I stepped into the large room. The walls were a dark maroon color, the bunk bed had creamy yellow sheets, the white carpet was soft, there was a large desk in the corner of the room, and there were oak shelves lining the walls, each of which held various plush toys. Jason was seated at the desk, busy sewing ears onto the head of an unfinished plush bunny. He smiled when he saw me, revealing his pointy teeth. "Hi Splatter, how's it going?" He asked cheerfully.

"I'm... Okay," I reluctantly replied.

Jason's smile faded when he detected the dread in my voice. "Hey, what's wrong?" He asked.

I shook my head. "It's nothing," I said. "It's just that..." I sighed, running my fingers through my bangs. "Neon has to teach me how to fight, and she already doesn't like me."

Jason stood up. "Don't worry about Neon," he said. "She's just grumpy because she misses having all the attention of everyone here. She acted that way towards me when I first came here too."

I looked up, Jason smiled at me reassuringly. "Don't worry, everyone has a rough start at first," he told me. "It only gets better from here."

I smiled slightly. "Thanks, Jason," I thanked him, feeling a bit better.

He grinned. "Anytime, Doll."
