alternate ending #2

You sighed as you sat down in the café, the aroma of coffee, tea and confectioneries surrounding your gloomy aura.

You sniffed as you thought back of what had happened back there in the apartment. You knew you should move on, especially when you had said your parting words with him,

It's time we part, Alfred.

It can't be helped that the topic just comes running back into your mind. Why? What went wrong? You sighed once more, covering your eyes with the palms of your hands, "Maybe I'm just no good..."

"Excuse me Miss, May I take your order?"

You sniffed again and looked up to the waiter, ready to order (choice of drink) and some cake to help cheer you up. He smiled to you warmly, his hands holding that little notebook to take customers' orders.

Your eyes met his and god, his eyes has such a gorgeous hue of violet. "Miss?" He called out as his head tilted slightly to the side. That had snapped you from your trance, causing you to blush and clear your throat before telling him your order.

~ It's going to be fine [1] ~

While waiting for your drink and snack, you looked around the interior of the café. It has a nice vintage yet homely theme to it, helping you to feel calm.

You looked outside of the windows and realised the weather has started pouring down rather heavily. It had somehow made you feel really down about everything that had happen in just a day. Your tears which you tried hard not to let out were about to fall but the waiter's voice had interrupted it from happening.

"Here's your order Miss," He said with such a soothing and calming voice. You couldn't help but to cry all of a sudden, causing the poor waiter to panic. "W-what's wrong?!"

Poor Matthew didn't know what to do so he held you in his arms, rubbing circles on your back. He had hoped nobody had misunderstood the situation. "Shh, Il est tout va bien se passer[1].."

After a while of letting out all of your sadness and distress, you had finally stopped tearing up. You sniffled and looked at the waiter, "I-I'm sorry..."

He smiled gently at you, "It's okay. I hope you're feeling better now."

You smiled back, "I am.. sort of," You laughed, "Thank you, really."

The both of you had started a small chat until his boss called him to get back to work. You watched as he apologised profusely at the boss for 'slacking'.

You, on the other hand, had continued eating your cake. You had learned a few things about that adorable and kind waiter... That was when you realised that you actually haven't gotten his name.

You pouted as your shoved the last spoonful of cake into your mouth as you stared at the sweet waiter, tending to the other customers. It's saddening that you had to leave soon and still not know his name nor will you ever know when you could meet him again, since you don't know when his shifts are.

You called up to the waiter to pay for your food, gathering all your stuff and getting ready to go. The maple-syrup-smelling waiter handed you the receipt and you noticed that the total was $0. You looked at him wide-eyed and he just gave you a smile in return, "It's on me."

You dragged your luggage on the pavement of the busy streets, looking around for a hotel you could stay the night at. After finally searching and booking for a stay, you laid down on the bed, the receipt from the café clutched in your hands.

That was when you saw a writing at the back of the receipt.
