"Alright, class dismissed!" The teacher yelled out. I grabbed my binder and books and sprinted out of the class. The hallways were empty, but that didn't last long. Fuck. I had to get to my locker which was on the east wing, top floor.
I brushed past people, avoiding stares fromotherss. I kept running. I heard my phone buzz in my pocket and I looked down at my pocket for a split second. I look up again to see another girl running in my direction, and we both slammed into each other.
I fell backwards, dropping all my things in the process. I looked at the other girl, who was also on the floor. I crawled around to collect all my books and papers, then looked up at her.
"I'm really sorry, I wasn't looking where I was going!" I panicked, afraid she was mad. I got to my feet and so did she.
"Its okay! I'm fine." She said quickly before passing me and running again.
I looked back at her, before turning on my heels and running to my locker.
As I ran, I got stopped by a teacher.
"JASMINE VALDEZ, NO RUNNING IN THE HALLWAYS." He yelled. I stopped in my tracks and turned to face him.
"I'm sorry!" I exclaimed and started to speed walk to my locker. I quickly packed my bag and zoomed out of the school.

"Come on... Come on..." I muttered to myself as the phone was ringing.
My favourite radio station was having a caller contest. Seventh caller would win 2 tickets to 5 Seconds of Summer, and I believed I could win. I would take my best friend, Melissa if I won.
The phone kept ringing and I lost hope. I thought I wasn't gonna win. I thought. The call was answered.
"Hello lucky caller number seven! What's your name?" Jon, the radio guy, asked through the phone.
"Oh my god, hi! I'm Jasmine." I said, trying to keep my cool.
"Well congratulations, Jasmine! You're caller number seven. How does it feel?" He asked. My heart started to race.
"It feels great but I'm kinda nervous." I said with a light chuckle in my shaky voice.
"Its okay to feel nervous. So, where are you from?" Jon asked.
"Mississauga." I said simply.
"Well to win these tickets, you have to answer this simple question. Are you ready?" He asked. I nodded, but then I realized he couldn't see me nod.
"Let's hear it." I said, confidently.
"In what song is the lyric, and it hurts in my head, in my heart, in my chest and I'm having trouble catching my breath?" Jon asked, as if he was reading it off a card.
"You have 10 sec-"
"Voodoo Doll." I said in a split second, cutting him off.
"Wow! That's correct!" Jon exclaimed.
