We ended up talking for another half hour just basically him asking questions and me answering. I was in my room, laying on my bed with my shoes off. I wiggled my toes in my black socks, listening to him talk.
" I didn't think we had a lot in common, Sydney. It's nice finally having someone to talk too. " He said. I could tell he was happy.
" Well I'm an usual being and that's just the way it is. " I said.
" You know you're actually the first person I've talked to on the phone that is accepting to the test and willing to meet me unlike the rest of the people I've talked too. "
" What do you mean? "
" Well I call people that I find different just by watching them. They don't follow the test or answer the phone when I call so I kill them. "
" That sounds very serial murderious. "
" It's charming, I guess. I use a different number each time for every new person so they end up tracing nothing but a busted cell phone with a fake name and address. "
" Very smart of you. "
" So Sydney, you have a boyfriend? "
I smiled.
" Why? You wanna ask me out on a date? " I said, jokingly.
" Maybe. Maybe I'll bring a dinner for two when we finally meet each other. "
" Which is when? "
" When you complete my test and I gain full trust from you and trust from me. "
There was a pause for a few minutes while I tried to change from my skinny jeans to sweatpants.
" How old are you? "
I giggled.
" Just turned 18 a week ago. "
" Oh well happy late birthday. "
" Hehe, thank you much. "
" Well Sydney, looks like I need to hit the road before I become tracable to police so till tomorrow? "
" Of course. "
" Alright, goodnight Sydney. I'll protect from other killers tonight. "
" Thank you my knight in shining machete. "
He laughed and then hung up.

I ended up making some Instant Lunch Hot&Spicy Beef flavored with a glass of my hidden Mikes under my bed." Sydney! " a voice shook me awake from my unexpected nap. I looked at my alarm clock. 6:48 p.m.
" Sydney, come downstairs. Your father and I would like to talk to you. " I heard my moms voice say from downstairs. I managed to push myself up and tumbled downstairs. I saw my little brother sitting in the kitchen playing with his iPad mini.. Which I didn't get.
I sat down on the couch across from my parents. I could tell by the look on their faces that they weren't happy.
" So your principal called today. " My mom said.
" Yeah. " I said.
" I thought went over this. "
I mouthed " Oh My God ".
" I know, I know. Violence is never the answer but she poured acid on my notebook on purpose. " I said.
" there are many ways you could have solved the problem without using violence. Especially something that.. That horrifying. Hitting someone in the face with a hard covered, layered book is not okay, Sydney. It could lead to a lot of trouble. " my dad said.
They don't understand. This girl has tormented me for years and today was the day I had enough of it. I'm not going to tell them I laughed at her because then they'll think I'm crazy and lock me somewhere. Knowing them.
" Now, your grounded for the time being. No going anywhere. You must stay in this house throughout your suspension. " My dad said with mom nodding in agreement.
" Why don't you just take away my cell phone? " I offered.
" Because we need someway of getting ahold of you to check in everyday. "
I was thankful he said that. I forgot that the killer was going to call me tomorrow and it would ruin everything if my mom or dad answered it.
" Are we clear? " I heard my mom say.
" Yeah, crystal clear. " I said, getting up and walking away back to my room. I grabbed my yarn and string from the desk in the living room to make some VooDoo dolls. So far, I've made my mom an dad, my sister and brother and Ethan. Now I want to make Stacey, just to rip it apart. When I walked into my room, it was more chilly than usual. I saw my bouqany door was wide open, letting the wind inside. On my bed was a painted black rose with a small note tied on it in red ribbon. I set my yarn down and untied the ribbon to read the note.
" I painted it black because I know you don't like normal things.
-T "T? Was that the first letter of his name? I started thinking of names that start with T. Timothy? Thomas? Theodore? It didn't matter. The rose made my day better and to know that he knows where I live. It didn't scare me. I thought it was cute. I put the Rose in a small vase.
