"Bees knees.....five hives"
I repeated slowly to calm myself as I ran the shower.I stepped in front of the mirror and wiped away the mist with my fingers.Dark blue eyes staring back at me as if to say hello. I removed my headwrap and let my brown waist-length mop carelessly flow down my back.I never did like my hair much.In fact id always wanted to have pixie cut but in reality I let it grow out ever so viciously like weeds in a wheat field.

I squinted and winced as the crows feet printed themselves around the corners of my eyes.He finds that cute....I dont.My lips looked a shade of pastel pink and I moved my finger across my bottom lip at the thought of him.Surely he had cast one on me but I had to quickly shake off the view of him from my minds eye.

I let my robe slip off and sat on the floor of the shower as the water trickled down my cross-legged frame. In not so many words I could describe that moment:Serene....Full Circle.....Opaque.....I ran a careless finger through my scalp and felt the water dreadlock my hair into thick clumps of dampness.I smirked at the thought of the larger than life poster he had of Bob Marley plastered behind his bedroom door. But again,he had to be shaken off my mind momentarily.

I closed my eyes to try and remember. It was blank. How could I not remember what had just happened but still feel the surge of electricity that moment ignited in my body.It hypnotised my senses.I was there but I wasnt really there.I grabbed the bottle of lavender body wash and lathered it onto my olive skin.

The scent of lavender always had a calming effect on my nerves. It reminded me of the days I would be shipped off to the countryside every summer holiday to visit my Nana. Her little cottage looked like it was cut out off an Enid Blyton story.Furnished with antique goodness dating back to when peanut butter was first made.

I remember waking up to the smell freshly baked cinammon rolls and freshly ground coffee. Then that unforgettable scent of freshly cut lavender in a vase right next to the meat grinder we won at the local fair. But tonight was not a night for daydreaming.

My mind flitted between the headline and the sink hole in my memory.
"Bees knees.....five hives"
I was getting a little annoyed at the dots that refused to connect. Why!!!Why!!!!Why!!!! I demanded as though the soap suds speeding towards the drain were going to answer.

I looked at my hands and noticed the little piece of flesh lodged in the chipped tip of my left index finger......
