Samantha's POV sorry it's short, but you may have to get used to it if you want almost-daily updates :<
We finally trudged up one last hill before I spotted Wildstar in her mortal form, her pack mates circling around her, sniffing the ground with caution.
"What happened?" Ty asked, making them lift their heads at us. Wildstar ran down the hill and trapped me in a hug.
"Phew! You're ok!" She exclaimed joyously. I grinned and hugged her back.
"Yeah, I'm alright. Thanks to Ty." She pulled back with interest and curiosity.
"Wait, does that mean that what Adam said about you...?" I smirked.
"Maybeee...." I replied in a "Well duh" tone. She rolled her eyes and scoffed.
"Well you didn't have to say it like that." I chuckled good-naturedly.
"Yeah I did." I chirped, hugging Ty's arm, since he was looking a little lonely. Wildstar moved her gaze to stare at him.
"So... She was with you when Corrupt-?"
"Almost killed me? Yah." He interrupted.
"H-how is this-"
"Magic." I replied, not sarcastically. She blinked in confusion.
"Oh? Oh, no not that. I meant, how come we didn't smell your scent then? I mean don't get me wrong, I'm glad Corrupt didn't capture you, but...?" I shrugged.
"Again, magic." I repeated. She sighed inwardly, shrugging to herself.
"Whatever, I'll figure it later I suppose. But, onto a far more important matter. I was actually looking for you two, since the others are already on a plane to that safe house." Chills went down my spine at the mention of that place, but I ignored it.
"Good." I murmured. "At least they'll be out of harms way." Then I added louder, "So what's up then?"
"The sky." I heard Ty mutter jokingly.
"Well uh..." Wildstar started. "We are on our way to Sin City, and I thought that maybe you guys would like to join us?" Ty nodded thoughtfully.
"Yeah, that is a good idea." He agreed slowly. Wildstar's eyes brightened up.
"Great, you can be a supplier,or a messenger, or something! And Samantha's a Sorceress, so she can help us really well!" Ice ran through my veins at her words.
"Wildstar... I can't use magic." I croaked awkwardly. She tilted her head in confusion.
"Why not?" She demanded. I gave Ty a knowing glance, and I sighed inwardly.
"... I- E- Everytime I use magic, I... I-I..." I trailed off, my eyes growing misty at the idea of what could happen. Ty noticed my crestfallen silence and spoke up.
"It uh- it drains her too much, she's new at Sorcery." I shot him a grateful glance as Wildstar's reply came.
"Oh... You still wanna come, right?" She asked. I nodded, cracking my knuckles.
"Absolutely. It's been so long since I've used Baritsu, and I've been studying some other... fighting techniques." Ty scoffed.
"Watching Arrow and copying Oliver Queen's moves doesn't count." I exaggeratedly gasped and playfully shoved him.
"How dareth you!" I exclaimed, grinning. We all ended up laughing as one of Wildstar's friends came up.
"Corrupt fled to the same direction as Sin City Wildstar; he's mist likely going to alert them of our approach, or find a DarkWing's patrol." Wildstar frowned.
"That's not good. We best get going then." She took several steps back away from us before she morphed into her dragon form.
"Samantha, go with Taiga. Ty, you get Everest. Let's go!" I hesitantly climbed on the dragon's back, Ty doing the same with Everest, then them, Wildstar and the others leaped into the air, and flew into the cloudbanks.
Sin City, here we come.
