No Affection, No Love

KATARINA
Noon. I wake up at noon, leaning on Talon's chest. He's still sleeping. I get up and walk away, back to my base. All the soldiers have left to go back to the camp. My hair is filled with ash. General Thomson greets me. "Good afternoon, Agent Katarina. I was just about to wake the two of you. You two looked like you had a great time," He laughed.
"Nobody shall speak of this..." I joke. A faint smile forms. I make it back to base. My hair smells of ale and dirt. My cheeks are grey of ash, my leather sleeves are stained with dirt. My metallic bra is partially loose. A group of soldiers happily salute me as I enter the camp once more. I kindly greet them. General Dean walks to me. "Agent Katarina, we're leaving to go back to our base back in Noxus. A very long multiple day trip is ahead of us." I sigh.
"Thank you for the information, General. When are we leaving?"
"One hour." He replies. I nod and head to my tent. I disassemble my bed, and put the parts into a horse-pulled wagon. I clean out my tent, and take it down.

Twenty minutes left before we leave. I look over back at where out camp was, now an empty space behind a few trees. A hand touches my right shoulder. I quickly jump up and battle ready. "Calm down, princess. It's just me." Talon's voice emerges through the silence. I put my hands down. "Don't call me that. There shall be no affection between us." I quietly say, looking away. The second it escaped my mouth, I regretted it. I look back at Talon, seeing a surprised expression on his face. "That wasn't the case yesterday," Talon quietly mumbled to me.
"It was purely because of the alcohol..." I reply, "And anyways, I cannot have affection towards anyone anymore. Every time anyone's been in my heart, they've betrayed me. What makes it so that I can trust anyone anymore?" I coldly snapped. I regretted my decisions once more, a dark and cold feeling over takes my heart. Talon looks down at the ground, his hood covers his face. "Look, I'm sorry-" I try to apologize.
"I understand." A cold remark escapes from Talon's mouth. He turns around and walks away. My eyes widen, realizing what I've just done. I just broke someone else's heart, when it was my intention to not break my own. I've acted selfish and immaturely. I look at the ground, seeing bootprints of where Talon was standing in front of me. I decide to trail after Talon, but he was gone. I look at where Talon's tent used to stand. Now completely cleaned out, just as everyone else's. My inside fill with anger. Anger and frustration towards myself. How could I have been so cruel? I selfishly and coldly broke a man's heart to save my own. A man that teamed with me, partied with me and possibly had affection towards me. "Agent. We're leaving now. Are you ready?" A soldier said.
  "Y-yes... Is everyone else ready?" I ask.
  "Yeah. We're leaving now."
I thank the soldier, and walk towards the front. Our whole team is lined up, their weapons all perfectly sticking in the air. We start to go back to Noxus. Wagons and horses tread the ground. Prints are left behind from the wagon wheels.
  How could I be so mean? I think to myself. It's getting to my head. I cannot be weak from something that's betrayed me in the past. I shake the feeling off, and pull my head back up.
