"What... what are you doing here?", Scarlett asked, still shocked from Lorrie's arrival.

"Saying goodbye apparently.. Where are you off to?", Lorrie asked.

"I'm.. Come in..", Scarlett said and sat on an armchair.

"So..?", Lorrie said, waiting for Scarlett to explain.

"How is your girl?", Scarlett asked.

"Scar."

"Yea, the suitcase."

"What happened?"

"Umm.. I'm leaving."

"Yea, I noticed that.."

"No, you don't understand. I'm leaving. For good.."

"What..?", Lorrie asked shocked, not sure for what she was about to say. "Is this because of my situation with Victor?.."

"No.. Victor can do whatever the hell he wants. I will never again tell you two what to do. If you want to live together like nothing happened, it's your choice. Your stupid choice. But this is not the reason I'm leaving."

"Is this about your mother?"

"No."

"Then?"

"I just can't live in a house where all the memories jump in front of me whenever I move to another room."

"So this is about your mum..", Lorrie whispered.

"In a way."

"So where are you going?"

"To a Boarding School.."

"To a what?!", Lorrie asked shocked. "And when were you planning on telling me that?"

"Soon.."

"Whatever.", Lorrie said and stood up. She took her purse and opened the door. "I wanted to make up with you, but you know what? Now that I think what I was trying to do, I feel so stupid. Victor is much better than you. My choice was simple after all."

"Because you keep forgetting that he abandoned you when he got you pregnant. If you want to be with a drug user, that doesn't take any responsibilities, then yes. Your choice was simple and right. I got nothing else to say to you. Go back to your little 'family', Lorrie", Scarlett said and went into the kitchen. Several seconds later she heard the door slamming hard.

Don't cry, don't cry.., she kept telling herself, but she couldn't help it. She cried and cried, until she felt slightly better. She remembered that she was going to make a coffee before Lorrie came. She did the movements mechanically and sat on her sofa.

Her cellphone rang.

"Hello?"

"It's me.", Theodore said from the other line.

"Hey.."

"I thought you were leaving tonight."

"I thought you had forgotten.."

"Ofcourse not! You were the one that told me you didn't want to make the whole goodbye scene.''

"Yea.."

"So have you changed your mind?"

"No.. I'm leaving."

"Hmm.. Is that why Lorrie is crying?"

"No.."

"Do you want to tell me, Scar?''

"No, honey.. I'm just not in the mood.."
