The Changes (On Hold)

Chapter 7

A/N so I'm super sorry I haven't been able to update guys! I'm gonna try to update more often while also working on my other book "It All Started With Somebody Else" ENJOY!!! Oh and also check out that other book I just mentioned :* MWAH

I hopped into Eric's grey 2015 mustang, closing the door behind me. Like I said before, no book bag, no worries. Eric sits down in the drivers seat and throws his book bag in the backseat before pushing the keys into the ignition. His engine purrs and we back out of his driveway, pulling away from my safe house. I mentally prepare myself for what's to come today. For facing Ryan.

"Are you ready?" Eric asks me.

"Kind of." I say snapping out of my thoughts and realizing we were parked in front of the school building.

I open my door at the same time Eric does and after I shut the car door I wait for Eric to grab his book bag and we walk up to the school doors, hand in hand.

I'm prepared for anything with him by my side. I think to myself, looking over at him.

"What?" He asks confused, furrowing his eyebrows. "Do I have something on my face?"

"No you don't," I say laughing. "Just thinking."

"About?"

"How lucky I am."

"Please. I'm luckier than you babe."

"Nuh-uh." I say sticking out my tongue.

"Uh-huh!"

"Mmmkay. Whatever you say." I say throwing my head back in laughter.

"Sure is." He says laughing. He opens the door to the school for me, and we both walk in. I walk over to my locker putting in my combination 12-22-32. I grab my Calculus book that I need for my class.

The rest of the day drags on.

Near the end of my second period I get a text from Eric.

Eric: Don't fall asleep on me today! Don't forget about my surprise!!!;)

I quickly reply careful not to have the teacher realize that I'm on my phone.

Me: Not today! I promise I'll still be up ;*

My phone buzzed in my pocket.

Eric: You better still be up. Or there will be consequences ;)

Me: Oh yeah? Like what?

Eric: Two words.

The bubble pops up at the bottom to signal that he's typing.

Tickle Monster.

I shake my head and laugh silently at the boy I fell in love with.
