So Much Can Change A Person

Chapter 2:

I yanked my head back.

He honestly looked hurt but I couldn't bring myself to honestly care right now. Because I knew, if my leader who is my alpha and my mate smelt his scent on me, I would be toast...burnt toast. Even if he has rejected me,he and his wolf wouldn't care about that. They would only care that someone had touched what was their's.

Basically, I was something he would never want and something that will never be happy. He thinks I was and am a mistake that shouldn't have been paired up with him. A mistake.

"Why?...You are my mate! ",he demanded.

I shook my head and whispered,"No...that cannot be I already have a mate..."

He growled. It was a scary growl that sounded fit for a king." I am your mate no one else!",he grabbed my wrist firmly and shocks started," Do you feel that?! If you do, then I am your true mate! Please... Just listen to me."

I nodded. Now that I've actually thought about it, his shocks felt real and like we were actually bonded to each other. It was so different from the shocks I felt from my alpha. Those kind of shocks felt fake and unreal.

I looked at him. His eyes held adoration. Adoration for me. He WAS my real mate.
